Originally created for the 168 Film Festival, ReMoved follows the emotional story through the eyes of a young girl taken from her home and placed into foster care. After winning Best Film and Audience Choice at the 168 Film Festival, as well as winning Best Film at the Enfoque Film Festival and being an official selection at the Santa Barbara Independent Film Festival, we're extremely excited to share ReMoved online. "It would be impossible to fully understand the life and emotions of a child going through the foster care system, but this short narrative film portrays that saga in a poetic light, with brushes of fear, anger, sadness, and a tiny bit of hope." -Santa Barbara Independent This short film wouldn't be possible without the help of some of my incredible friends. First, my wife, who schemed this project up with me, and was willing to do me the huge favor of writing and producing it. Without her partnership, this would not have happened, and definitely would not have been such a fun process. We were inspired to create this film while in foster parent training. And then of course Tony Cruz. I asked him early on if he'd be willing to tackle this with me. I wasn't sure if I was really going to pursue it unless he said yes. He graciously agreed and was, to me, a huge source of confidence in knowing this project would turn out well. He and i discussed everything during the pre-production, and i counted on his creative mind to keep me on the right path. He even persuaded another key creative on the project, Greg Pickard, to join us. On Set Tony was my right hand man. On set, if I just wasn't feeling it, I had the trust in him to be able to just hand the scene off to him and know he would make it work. And he stepped in plenty of times when i just needed a break, or a separate perspective. Some of the best moments in the film are of his doing. Go check him out at tonycruz.co We were very fortunate with Abby White, the young actress. Without her we wouldn't have a film. Her parents were so amazing as well. I don't think they anticipated how much involvement it would take on their end, but they stuck with it the whole way. Abby's dad, Andy White from Good Times Guitar, even recorded Abby's Voice Over for us in his studio. We also owe a huge thanks to our cast: Sabrina Culver, the birth mom, who brought so much to her role http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0191747/ and also Jordan Nice, who gave a phenomenal performance as the abusive boyfriend: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2059038/ . Last but certainly not least, Kyra Locke, who played the committed caring foster mom, who truly brought such an amazing contribution to the story: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2753903/ We can vouch for each of them. They are worth working with! Color grading: https://www.sendowl.com?r=3c882

An Older Boy Took Advantage Of Me

By Joslynn | ***Not feeling good and need to talk to someone? Comment, like, share this story. Joslynn had a big extended family with step brothers and sisters, step aunts and cousins, grandparents, the whole family tree was full of step relatives. She spent a lot of time with her cousins and step cousins at their house. On one visit she was watching tv with her step-cousins while the adults were all outside grilling barbecue for dinner - two young girls and an older boy. After watching for a while the two young girls went off to play, leaving her alone with the eldest boy. He moved closer to her on the couch and then reached over and kind of put his arm around her. It was a little weird, and he started telling her how he thought she was so cool and so beautiful and things like that. Josylynn was only nine years old at the time and this boy was much older than her. His compliments made her so uncomfortable, and his arm around her too, but she just sat there, not knowing what to do, and simply said, in a weak voice "umm, thanks. I guess." But that wasn't the most uncomfortable or weirdest part. After a few more strange compliments, he actually leaned in and kissed her - a real kiss - not at all for a nine-year-old. And, being only nine, and being rather shy AND very freaked out, she just sat there. She should have said something, or gone right away to an adult and told them what had just happened, but she was scared, confused, and afraid, and, even though she felt weak about it, she didn't do anything or tell anyone. Even after she got home, and after some time had passed, still, she didn't tell her mom about it. She couldn't explain quite why, but she felt like if she told her mother that she would be disgusted by it, that she wouldn't love her anymore and that ultimately she would just blame Joslynn for not doing anything about it right then and there when it happened. So, she just kept it to herself, a secret. But, maybe because she didn't tell her Mom right away, it got harder and harder to find the right time to come clean and let her secret out, and because of that, it continued - that boy kept taking advantage of her in a way that she did not want him to. The next time she went to her step aunt's house she was playing outside with the younger girls, then went inside to use the bathroom. While she was washing her hands that older boy step cousin stepped into the bathroom. She got anxiety as it got a little scary for her because she didn't feel safe. He apologized for barging in, BUT, he didn't leave. In fact, he stepped closer to her, too close, and she had to put her hands up and push against his chest, trying to stop him from coming closer, but he just kept pushing into her. She was scared, and told him "No, I don't want to." But he pushed her hands away, told her to relax, that it was okay, that she wouldn't get in trouble. He closed the door then, and kissed her again, and made her do things with him that she really didn't want to do. But she couldn't stop him, was too scared at that moment. This boy took real advantage of her. This just because one of those true stories she heard about but never wanted to be a part of. Four years have passed and now Joslynn is thirteen years old. Her mother and stepfather have separated, and so, thankfully, she never has to see those step cousins or that awful boy again. Even though she was happy that those terrible things were behind her, the guilt and shame and dark feelings were all still there - like somehow the whole thing was her fault and that she would have to be alone with those feelings her whole life. It was always on her mind though, and so hard to keep secret and buried inside, and so, a few months ago when she was out to lunch with her mother, she decided to tell her mother, to share the secret once and for all. And, even though she was terrified and ashamed and embarrassed, she told her Mom everything that had happened. And her mom supported her in a big way, loving her no matter what. The Me Too Movement and Times Up Movement all address the issues brought forth in this story. Nearly three years ago, so-called Islamic State fighters swept through northern Iraq, where the country’s oldest ethnic minority were living - the Yazidis. Many of the men were shot, while the women and children were kidnapped, taken as hostage and raped. The Victoria Derbyshire programme’s reporter Fiona Lamdin has spent a couple of days with a small group of women who have been resettled in Germany, and are trying to rebuild their lives. Disrespected for Wearing a Hijab

02:43
By Ammaarah | Ready to "wear it out loud?” Merch store open, SHOP NOW: http://bit.ly/storybooth-merch | Subscribe: http://bit.ly/sub2storybooth | Record your story @ https://storybooth.com or our iPhone app for a chance to get animated. Comment, like, share this story. It is hard and scary enough to start at a new school, and even harder when you're just entering high school, but for Ammaarah it was tougher still - she was the only girl in her school who wore a hijab. She was scared, and nervous, and really felt like she stood out - just different - and she was afraid that people would question her, or look at her strangely. But, to her surprise and delight, they didn't. Everyone seemed to accept her, and she started to feel comfortable. Later in the year, she was sitting in class and just minding her own business, and a small group of boys were in the corner playing truth or dare. One of the boys came up behind her and ripped her hijab off of her head. He showed no respect for her beliefs or how traumatic the experience would be for her. To them it was a hat or a scarf. To her, it protected her modesty. She froze - so shocked and embarrassed, but also very upset that her hijab, which was so important to her, had been snatched away. She felt so uncomfortable, so upset, and so she took her jacket off and covered her hair - then ran toward the door to get a teacher or help from someone. BUT, those bullies blocked her path, they weren't done yet, and they grabbed her and tried to pull the blazer off her head. They chanted "Let us see your hair! Let us see your hair!" with hate and discrimination in their hearts. While this might have seemed like a prank to the boys, this was not a prank. It was serious bullying and a show of disrespect towards this 16 year old girl. The fear was very real to her. She felt attacked, wanted to cry, but just begged them to leave her alone and somehow managed to get to the door right when the teacher arrived. She told the teacher what happened, and how upset she was that people had seen her hair - it was part of her beliefs and very important to her - she didn't know what to do. She ran to the bathroom and was freaking out, wanted to call her dad, wanted to run away, but she took a few deep breathes and calmed herself down, then put her hijab back on and covered her hair. When she got back to the classroom all the students were gone except for the boys who had bullied her. The teacher was scolding them, well, actually she was yelling and screaming at them. The boys looked like they were about to cry, and Ammaarah felt that maybe they had learned their lesson. After a little while everyone seemed to forget about that moment, and Ammaarah made friends and felt comfortable again. Perhaps those boys didn't know how important it was to Ammaarah to cover her hair and wear her hijab, or perhaps they did and they just didn't like that she was different, or believed differently, but either way, the one thing her classmates didn't forget was how mean and ignorant those boys were and how they disrespected her. Mean Mom

03:09
By Sydney - Age 19 | Ready to "wear it out loud?” Merch store open, SHOP NOW: http://bit.ly/storybooth-merch | Subscribe: http://bit.ly/sub2storybooth | Record your story @ https://storybooth.com or our iPhone app for a chance to get animated. Comment, like, share this story. Our parents and the adults we look up to can have such an impact on our lives, but unfortunately, that impact is not always a positive one. This storytime is one that takes a journey of emotion through the story of an incredibly brave and resilient young woman. Sydney's father was always sweet and kind to her, but her mother was always angry and hurtful to her - a mean Mom - and her Mom's angry words, the verbal abuse, sunk in and made her feel bad about herself. Telling her daughter that was not good enough, that she regrets the day she was born and turning common mistakes all children make growing up into horrible and traumatic experiences, Sydneys Mom was a parent bully and had no idea what she was doing to her daughter. It's hard to image a Mothers Day in Sydney' house. Bad parenting can negatively effect relationships and mental health. Hard parents, in her case, a mean mom, laying on a full on attack to her self-esteem, took Sydney to a very dark place. This is NOT a case of tough love. It lead to depression, sadness, fear and anxiety. With her self-esteem damaged, she began hurting herself. Her bad Mom's actions, led Sydney to physically cause pain to herself as punishment for being the terrible, disappointment of a child her mean Mom told her she was everyday. A bullying parent is the last thing that any child would want to deal with. Victim is the textbook definition for Sydney in her abusive home. But in the end, with professional therapy, counseling, help and support from professionals, friends and family, she found that her true self was not the girl her abusive mean Mother made her feel like. But she was a strong, proud young woman who could overcome anything! Watch Abuse Story - https://youtu.be/SiKQDu2cNvU What's your story? storybooth wants to hear it! Chosen (BAFTA AWARD WINNING DOCUMENTARY) - Real Stories

01:36:33
Check out our new website for more incredible documentaries: HD and ad-free. https://goo.gl/LwMcmY This BAFTA award winning film deals with a subject often whispered but rarely spoken about - the sexual abuse of boys by teachers in Britain’s private schools. For thirty years the boys, and the men they became, stayed silent, nursing the dark secret of the abuse they suffered. But in this film, Tom, Mark and Alastair break that silence with spellbinding articulation and breathtaking honesty – telling their stories straight to the camera. Want to watch more full-length Documentaries? Click here: http://bit.ly/1GOzpIu Follow us on Twitter for more - https://twitter.com/realstoriesdocs Instagram - @realstoriesdocs Chosen was produced by True Vision Productions. If you wish to find out more the people featured in this documentary then go to http://truevisiontv.com/foundation Following broadcast of ‘Chosen’ in September 08 on both More4 and then again in December on Channel4 (a terrestrial UK broadcaster) - more former pupils made statements to the police about alleged abuse at Caldicott. This included further complaints against Peter Wright and other former teachers including Hugh Henry, the man unnamed in the documentary who abused Mark Payge. Hugh Henry and Peter Wright were subsequently charged on the same indictment. Henry pleaded guilty on 11/05/12 to 10 indictments against 9 complainants from two schools. He was released on bail to await sentence pending the outcome of the trial of Peter Wright. Media reporting restrictions applied throughout all the trials. David Keith Geddes, another teacher at Caldicott, went to trial on 14/01/13 charged with 5 indictments - it resulted in a hung Jury and a retrial on 11/03/13 again on 5 indictments. He was acquitted. John Addrison, a former pupil of Caldicott who returned as a gap year teaching assistant, went on trial on 11/09/13 - He pleaded guilty to 13 indictments against 5 boys from two schools including Caldicott. Peter Wright returned to court on 1/05/13 charged with 13 indictments against 5 new complainants. It delivered a hung Jury and Wright returned for court for retrial on 13/11/13 on 12 indictments. By unanimous verdict he was found guilty of all counts on 6/12/13. The five men whose cases were stayed in 2003 were witnesses of bad character. Reporting restrictions were finally lifted. Mark Payge had meanwhile developed cancer from which he died on 22/5/13. For sometime Tom was unable to speak to his friend because of the legal process, particularly as Hugh Henry was on the same indictment as Wright. Not until the very end was permission granted. With Mark having returned home, and in a heavily medicated state Tom greeted him - 'hello big boy, that bad smell Tom Perry is back in your life.' The briefest of smiles appeared on Mark’s face, everybody saw it. Two days later, Mark died. Both Wright and Henry were due to be sentenced on the 6/1/14 however on 4/1/14 Henry stood in front of a train close to the Court and was killed http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/paedophile-hugh-henry-killed-train-3115240 So even had Mark lived he would never have seen Henry sentenced. . Wright received eight years imprisonment. More is available here: https://goo.gl/XcvysM including a some newspaper articles. You may find the chronology in the link helpful. 10 Shocking Anti-Abuse Devices For Women That Actually Exist!

top 10 inventions to help women well safe and defend themselves in the case of an attack Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Other Videos You Might Like 10 Crazy People With Dangerous Road Rage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euHhFSwlN2M 10 People Who Got Revenge On Cheaters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbcpuiaceiU Description: Being a woman isn’t the easiest thing in the world, and they need to do what they have to do to protect themselves. As the song goes, “It’s a man’s world.” Well, maybe not so much anymore, but women still have a long way to go before they are completely equal with the male human race. There is still a problem with women getting assaulted all over the world. Even in places like the United States, women have to take extreme measures to defend themselves. From taking self-defenses classes to carrying pepper spray around, women have built up some impressive skills and people all over the world have created some incredible innovations to ensure that women are not only safe, but empowered as well. When a man decides that he wants to violate and assault another woman, he certainly deserves to endure a harsh punishment plus anything else that the law throws at him. But sometimes, when the law fails, we feel like we have to take the law into our own hands and create devices that not only protect women, but they also manage to ensure that the man violating them is physically tortured and punished. Here are ten of the most shocking self-defense devices for women. From stabbing a man’s junk to a condom with teeth, predators everywhere need to be afraid. Not only that, but men everywhere should be careful if they meet a woman who is a bit crazy and sadistic because you never know what will happen once you finally get to home plate with your girlfriend. Being a woman can be scary sometimes, and women need to do what they need to do to protect themselves. After the FemDefence ad was released, it opened a dialogue of how women can be protected from rape after it was discovered it wasn’t real. If you’re a predator, beware, as you never know…your next victim could be your undoing. Here are ten shocking self-defense devices for women. Comment, like, share this story. 9th grade - Freshman year in high school - is a time for a ton of firsts, independence, free-thinking, soon to be driving, and, sometimes, flirting, dating, and maybe, first love! This is a dating story that takes quite a journey. Early in the year Gabby met a boy at a carnival, and, even though at first she didn't think of him in any romantic "boyfriend" way - she didn't even think he was all that cute at the time - they started hanging out, a lot. And, they became best friends. Eventually, after really hitting it off they started to really like each other, and then, just like that, they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Gabby had never had a boyfriend, and for the first few months it was amazing - their honeymoon phase - and they were always together and she really felt like she was in love with him. But, slowly, she started to see a different side of him, and she started to realized that he wouldn't let her do anything. He kept her from going out with her friends, wouldn't let her text someone that she knew and had been friends with for a really long time. He disrespected her, controlled her and degraded her. He was possessive. paranoid, and controlling. Yeah, this is a bad relationship story. Then he started telling her nasty and mean things, making her feel like she was bad, and worthless, and not good enough. He said mean things to her to make her feel small every single day, he was condescending and hurtful and she dealt with it day after day and year after year. Her self esteem went down and it caused her to be depressed and really sad. He had a bad temper and did not want her doing anything away from him. He did not trust her or anyone else. She deserved more, she deserved better. This was after all her first love, even if he was a bad boyfriend, a really, really bad boyfriend. And, even though she felt awful, she really didn't know what to expect, or what a normal love relationship was supposed to be like, she had never been in one. That bad boyfriend caused Gabby a ton of pain, sent her into a depression and made her feel anxious all the time. Things just kept getting worse and worse, and she just kept staying with him, kept dating him. He was a real jerk. To her it was evil, but nobody else could see what he was doing to her, he didn't hurt her physically, but emotionally he really did hurt her, and it did real damage, hurt just as much and lasted longer than if it was physical. he really hurt her; her mind, her self worth and self esteem. Even now all the awful things he said to her are still in her head, but at least now she can ask herself "who was he anyway? why did he have such power of me? He was just an awful person, and the things he said to me weren't true." Finally, thankfully, Gabby couldn't take it anymore, she built up her courage and stood up for herself and broke up with him! She broke up with her boyfriend - The Jerk! And it took her a long time to get over that bad boyfriend, and all the things he did and said to her, but finally, she met an amazing, sweet, and wonderful guy who loves her for who she is and would never say things just to hurt her and make her small. Her new boyfriend is AMAZING! He treats her the way she deserves to be treated, with respect and love. It turns out that this is actually a fantastic dating story with a genuine happy ending. Will they live happily ever after? Who knows but what we do know is that Gabby is happy! What's your story? storybooth wants to hear it! I Didn't Feel Safe At Home Or In School

By Louis | Ready to "wear it out loud?” Merch store open, SHOP NOW: http://bit.ly/storybooth-merch | Subscribe: http://bit.ly/sub2storybooth | Record your story @ https://storybooth.com or our iPhone app for a chance to get animated. Comment, like, share this story. Louis is a middle child with an older sister and a younger brother. And that can be kind of tough, since any time he wanted to join in on activities with them, he was either too old for his younger brother or too young for his older sister. And, even though he loved his Mom very much, and knew that deep down she really cared about him, still, at times he got the feeling that his Mom loved him a lot less than his other two siblings. For a while it was just his Mother and the three kids since his parents had divorced, and things were okay (and safe) until his Mom met a new person, who just so happened not to like Louis and his little brother very much, and was super strict with a short fuse and a bad temper. If Louis and his little brother didn't do what their new father, well, step-father said, he would hit them, hurt them. Once he hit Louis so hard that he knocked him out. And this then went on for years. It got to the point where Louis actually called the police to come - he didn't feel safe and didn't think his brother or sister were safe either. But, unfortunately, when the police arrived his story was dismissed and ignored because he was "just a child" and his step-father made up a story and schmoozed the cop. So, that was life at home, and his new school was no better. Because of what he was going through at home his self-esteem was really low and he would end up getting bullied just for being a loner, by himself, and a bit scared - who could blame him - but the kids at school weren't nice to say the least. For the entire first year he had no friends at school - literally - and he was always by himself, so the kids made fun of him, called him a loner and a loser, broke him down every single day. Then, after a bad day at school he would head out for a bad night at home - he didn't feel safe anywhere and felt like he had nothing good or positive in his life. And he'd get beat up. After time, with all of that continuing, he saw his stepfather about to hit his little brother and without thinking, Louis stepped in between them and said "NO, YOU CAN'T DO THAT." This only made things tougher and he got hit even harder than usual, but at least he had protected his little brother from the abuse. Up to that point Louis had always felt like an outcast, but something changed inside him then, he had been pushed too far, and he decided to put himself out there, to keep trying, and to overcome all those challenges that had been put on him and to be more confident and less of a loner. He kept trying and trying to be friendly, to say hello and join in where he thought he could, and he never gave up. And finally, someone actually approached him, started a conversation, and Louis' first real friendship had begun! His new friend ended up introducing Louis to more people and he made more friends - he even became known as a popular kid that everybody liked and respected. His confidence grew, and his happiness grew, and things at home started to improve then as well. He got along better with his brother and sister, and his Mom made more of an effort and he felt, finally, equally loved and cared for. He felt like part of the family again, like home was a real safe place for him, and he felt good and welcomed and liked at school too! How did he do it? He just stayed strong on the inside and tried not to let all the challenges take him down. He pushed himself to get out there into his world, be himself, grow his confidence and change his future. - - - What's your story? storybooth wants to hear it! I Lost My Bikini!!! Bathing Suit Fail

Comment, like, share this story. Ever have one of those nightmare dreams where you are undressed in front of your classmates? Well this story was no dream and the animation will bring it to life for you...At the end of 6th grade, Sophie got invited to the Birthday party of a girl she was kind of friends with that year. She was really excited because it was a pool party. This would be a great opportunity for her to spend time with her friends and other students from her school class. Sophie's Mother was just as excited about Summer as Sophie was. So much so, that she went out and bought Sophie a bunch of new bathing suites, bikinis, one pieces, even though the ones she already had fit just fine. Moms can be funny like that. Sophie came home from school and told her Mom, "Ay, Yo Mom, I'm going to this party." Her Mom got up and went to present her with a new bathing suit, the right one for this summer pool party. It was a bikini that tied on the sides of the top and of the bottom. a string bikini. If these ties on the bikini were to untie or break , the bikini would fall apart. Risk that her bikini would fall off? A serious bikini malfunction would potentially lead to a serious bikini fail she would not soon forget. Undeterred by the potential disaster, Sophie, went to the pool party proudly in that string bikini. It was a party FILLED with guys and girls. More guys than girls actually and she was cool with that because many of her best friends were guys. The Summer pool party was going really well and she was having a great time with her friends. Eventually, everyone decided to go on the diving board and because Sofie loved to jump and dive off of the diving board, she joined them without hesitation. When it was her turn, she decided to do a dive off of the diving board. When she hit the water, she realized someone was wrong...bikini malfunction, bikini fail, nightmare time. Her bikini had untied and completely fell off in the water. She tried desperately to retie it but could not. "OMG! I lost my bikini." Without her bikini on because a massive wardrobe malfunction, Sofie slid over to her girlfriend in the pool and whispered to her that she was in trouble, "Yo, my bathing suite just came undone." Her friend immediate went underwater and confirmed the bikini fail. Her friend called all of the other girls, her friends, over to surround her. They tried to help her, they covered her with a floatie, and one girl told all the boys to go the the other side of the pool, so they could not see her. They helped her the best that they could. It was really awkward and embarrassing to say the least. Her fear and embarrassment because of the bathing suit malfunction peaked when she learned that the Mother of the girl who's pool party it was was not home, only her Dad was. She he threw a towel into the pool, and she wrapper herself up in it, slightingly exposing herself buy accident in the process. She got out of the pool, untied string bikini in hand and went into the shed to compose herself where she cried a little at first. Then she retied her sting bikini and returned to the part like nothing ever happened. While she still enjoyed the rest of the party, her embarrassment kept her wanting to go home. When she did go home, she walked over to her Mom and said, "I want to burn this bathing suit" which is exactly what she did. Talk about an embarrassing bikini story. This was a party fail, a bikini fail, a bathing suit fail and a swimming pool fail, all rolled into one day that embarrassed Sophie. She destroyed all traces of that bikini, hoping to destroy the memory of her embarrassing bathing suit story. What's your story? storybooth wants to hear it! It's Storytime. Child Marriage And Rape Is Still Legal In Yemen (2013)

The Youngest Bride (2013): The story of Nujood Ali, a young girl married off at 8 then raped and beaten by her husband, shocked the international community. But child marriage remains a legal and common practise in Yemen. His mother was holding me," remembers Nujood. Traumatised, she sought refuge from her relatives but was turned away for fear of shaming the family. With no one to rely on but herself, she took a taxi to court where a judge, outraged by her story, granted her a divorce. But Nujood was lucky in a country which does not recognise marital rape as a crime and has no minimum marriage age. A reform to introduce it was blocked last year by Yemen's Muslim Brotherhood. "Islam doesn't specify an age for marriage. Why make a problem out of nothing?" asks one member of Yemen's parliament. Nujood is set on fighting child marriage in Yemen when she grows up; but with an estimated half of all brides aged below 18 and many families hoping to alleviate poverty with dowries, she faces a bitter struggle. I Got "The Talk" in School

Comment, like, share this story. Sydney was in her fifth grade class having the usual amazing time when the teacher suddenly announced that "today, we are going to talk about periods, the parts of the body and the reproductive system." Can you imagine? A pop up Sex Ed class? She was like , "Uhm, WHAAAT?!?!?, eewwww...gross!" Talk about instant anxiety and panic attack!. The boys from her class went into another classroom across the hall and thank goodness for that because it would be so embarrassing to talk about girl and boy private parts and stuff right in front of each other. She just wanted to die! It was a talk about the reproductive system, human anatomy and physiology. This was "The Talk", the birds and the bees talk gone wrong!. This was't a private awkward talk with parents, Mom or Dad, this was in front of everyone! All the girls in the 5th grade were crammed inside her classroom while all the boys in the 5th grade were crammed in the classroom across the hall. It was so tight in there that she could barely breathe. And it got worse... The teacher pointed to parts of a picture saying, "this is a girl's vagina.....everybody say 'VAGINA'"! Guess who was the loudest person in the packed classroom? Sydney was yelling "VAGINA!" as loud as she could and everybody looked at her like she was crazy, the weirdest person in the world. Then the unthinkable happened, the teacher made the students say "penis" out loud but this time Sydney kept her mouth shut. This was anatomy that she wanted nothing to do with...And she will never be able to "unsee" those visuals - pictures are worth a thousand words. OMG! The teacher passed around pads to all the girls letting them know she had a stock of pads should they ever have their period and need one. Meanwhile Sydney could hear the boys across the hall laughing and screaming and to her, that was just so uncool! "So immature!", she said. At the end, all the girls got samples of pads and panty liners. The boys got deodorant and gum. She just couldn't believe it! It turned out that the first sex education class talking about puberty, a vag and a penis wasn't so bad after all. Embarrassing? TOTALLY! But everyone share that embarrassment. It's one storytime, she will never forget. It turned out to be a really funny story...Hilarious! Probably the first "embarrassing period story of her life."

Pakistan's Hidden Shame (Full Documentary) - Real Stories

46:56
Check out our new website for more incredible documentaries: HD and ad-free. https://goo.gl/LwMcmY In towns and cities across Pakistan, tens of thousands of vulnerable young boys have become the victims of paedophile predators who seem to have nothing to fear from the law. It’s an open secret that few acknowledge publicly and even fewer want to do anything about. In a society where women are hidden from view and young girls deemed untouchable, the bus stations, truck stops and alleyways have become the hunting ground for perverted men to prey on the innocent. In one survey alone, 95% of truck drivers admitted having sex with boys was their favourite entertainment. At the main bus terminal in Peshawar, a makeshift hostel for drivers passing through is set up every evening with around twenty beds lying side by side. Some are occupied by men, some by boys, and some by both. Most boys have been procured by hostel owners like Hassan Deen: “When a kid is wandering the streets alone, we lure him in by telling him we’ll give him some food and a place to stay. Then we pass them on to the drivers.” In return for a pittance, the men can have sex with as many boys as they desire. Pedestrians stroll by as though nothing is amiss and police say they’re too busy fighting terrorists to have time for the children. Forever damaged and with no hope, many of the boys turn to drugs to numb the pain and sorrow. One of the boys we feature is 13-year-old Naeem. Having been gang-raped by four men when he was just 10, Naeem is now a child prostitute and abuser of younger boys himself. As he says: “Sometimes I wish I’d never been born.” “It’s one of the most sad and shameful aspects of our society. I have to say I’m totally embarrassed by this” Imran Khan, world-famous cricketer and leading Pakistani Politician. Want to watch more full-length Documentaries? Christine & Léa Papin grew up in Le Mans, France. After a tragic upbringing, things appeared to be going in the right direction for them; they had a good job as head servant/cook & chambermaid in a the house of a wealthy middle class family. By all accounts, they were fed & treated well & had a comfortable heated room on the third floor of the large house of Monsieur Lancelin & his family. Then one day, the girls snapped...leaving a horific trail in their wake. No one could quite believe that these two kind & demure young women, could be capable of such shocking & grisly murders. 06:44
On July 13, 2005, police rescued a little girl named Danielle from her mother's run-down rental home. When police went in, what they found was haunting: a severely neglected child who had been raised, as her court-appointed attorney would later put it, like a "wild animal." Mercer, make tomorrow today. - - - Tony and his two older sisters never got along, not ever, for as long as he can remember, and to this day he doesn't understand why. They bullied and tormented him, did and said horrible things to him whenever they could. His sisters would dress him up like a girl, force make-up on him, and then tell him he should have been female because nobody wanted a brother. It hurt him deeply. And they made fun of his weight and the fact that he loved to eat. They hurt, they teased, they ridiculed, but still, he didn't feel unsafe - they hadn't done any physical harm to him, and he thought maybe it was just normal. But, deep down inside he knew it wasn't normal, and maybe he even knew that he really wasn't safe - his life with his sisters felt dangerous and terrifying. His Mom was amazing and loved and protected him when she could, but that wasn't very often because she was a single parent and had to work all the time to keep their apartment, and food on their table, and keep them cared for. His Mom just wasn't able to be around the house and with them often enough to truly see what was happening to him, and how abusive it was - and she couldn't enforce the rules since she wasn't there. As he moved into his teenage years, the bullying and abuse from his sisters moved from hurtful words to real violence, and that violence grew and grew until eventually, he knew he truly wasn't safe in that house. He was being abused. His mom realized what was happening and felt the same way - it was dangerous, unsafe, and she needed to get him away from his sisters. With nowhere else to go, and the situation at home going from bad to worse, Tony went to live with his Uncle. For a little while things were okay, he felt safe, there was nobody there to hurt and bully him, and his Uncle was easy to be with. But then, out of the blue, Tony came home to find an eviction notice on his Uncle's door. With his Uncle being evicted, Tony was left without a place to live - he couldn't go back home because his sisters were too threatening, and he didn't want to burden his Mother because she had so much to deal with on her own, and so, just like that, he found himself scared, hungry, and on the streets - He was homeless, a homeless teen with nowhere to go. He eventually found himself in Central Park, and tried to blend in and look normal. This was no homeless kid experiment, he was hungry, dirty and tired, and had no money for food. He found a McDonalds and just sat, scared and alone. Finally, some kids left a tray full of uneaten food on top of the trash, and, embarrassed but too hungry to care, he took the tray and ate their leftovers. He was a homeless kid on the street, spending his nights in the park with nobody to help him - not a homeless experiment like he watched on youtube, this was real. On his fourth night of homelessness, he had to sleep on the streets, while he was sleeping, he got assaulted - beaten up really badly by a gang of thugs. He learned firsthand what it was like to be homeless in America. It was unsafe and dangerous. After that horrible assault, he knew he needed to get help - homeless solutions - and he called his Mom. He needed more than a place to sleep warm, he needed a safe place to stay. They went searching and that is how they found Covenant House - a homeless shelter, an adolescent shelter for homeless kids. It was the best thing that could have happened to him. He made friends and learned to share his feelings, not hide in his pain and all he had been through. Covenant House gave him a sense of real hope and a feeling of deep connection and trust. He was able to connect more deeply with his Mother, knowing that she knew he was okay, and ultimately, after all, he had been through, he found his redemption at Covenant House. His homelessness was a chapter, a stop along his journey, and the shelter and care that he finally found set him on a new path where he, in turn, can help others - just like he is doing by sharing this amazing story! https://www.covenanthouse.org/homeless-shelters LINKS: Website: http://www.storybooth.com Instagram: @thestorybooth twitter @thestorybooth https://www.instagram.com/thestorybooth G+: https://plus.google.com/+Storybooth Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thestorybooth/ Tumblr: https://storybooth.tumblr.com/
