The Secret CASE STUDY On Nike's Branding Strategy

10:20
This video is a case study of Nike’s branding strategy and how Phil Knight turned Nike into a multi-billion dollar company that all of us know! To give you a brief overview of this video: We can divide Nike’s branding strategy into 4 different steps. Step #1 is the foundation for Nike’s brand recognition. Once they made this specific change in their business, they seriously just took off. This is not a change that you can decide for overnight, but for Nike, it has paid off a lot! Step #2: Did you know that athletes such as Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant are key to Nike’s success? I mean we have all seen them with Nike shoes on, but did you realize that they were one of the core marketing strategies for Nike’s business? In this video, I will show you how Nike not only got those big names to sign with their brand but also how they turned sponsorings into millions of dollars in sales. Step #3: Did you know Nike was not only in the business of sports apparel? Yes, you heard that right. Nike is more than just a sports company. Because of this, Nike was actually able to expand into many sports niches out there without having ANY competition. If you want to know what other business Nike is in, stay tuned! Step #4: I don’t want to tell you a whole lot about this step right here, but I can give you a small hint: What do you think does Under Armour have in common with Nike? I mean sure, they are both sports brands. But there is another major commonality! You’ll seriously be shocked, I can promise you that To sum up this video, you’re going to learn the secrets to Nike’s branding strategy and how they went from zero to a multi-billion step by step. There company has been around for over 50 years and stays around in part because of their brand recognition. The Nike company was founded 1964 by 2 track and field coaches from the university of oregon and only $1,200 when they were initially called Blue Ribbon Sports and distributed shoes for a japanese shoe maker. The stayed a distributor until 1971 when the company officially changed its name to nike and they started to make their first shoes using a waffle iron. The slogan just do it was launched in 1977 and the company's popularity increased but it was not until about 1984 when the company really began to take of when nike signed a deal with Michael Jordan which was one of the best decisions the company ever made. The company began to grow as they endorse more and more athletes including Tiger Woods. I thought this video I would be talking about how nike has survived all these years using brand recognition but that is simply not the whole story. Nike has made it through the years not only by brand recognition by more strongly by the trust of athletes then you buy lebrons shoes your not only trusting the company but your also trusting that Lebron will make sure they are high quality. This is the history of nike and how it has stayed around so long.

16 FAMOUS LOGOS WITH A HIDDEN MEANING (That We Never Even Noticed)

06:33
How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. Nevertheless, Coca-Cola has used this as part of its marketing campaigns in the Scandinavian country. If you’ve enjoyed this video, hit that thumbs up button! Kaepernick Ad Creates Buzz For Nike

00:59
Protesters burned their Nike shoes, investors sold shares and some consumers demanded a boycott after the footwear and apparel maker launched an advertising campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick, the NFL quarterback who sparked a national controversy by kneeling during the national anthem. But the brand recognition that comes with the campaign may be just what the company wanted, and marketing experts predicted it would ultimately succeed. The ad revived a raging debate in the United States that started in 2016 when Kaepernick, then with the San Francisco 49ers, began kneeling during the playing of the U.S. national anthem to protest multiple police shootings of unarmed black men. While some fans praised Kaepernick and other players who joined him in kneeling as patriotic dissenters, critics led by U.S. President Donald Trump blasted the protesters as ungrateful and disrespectful. SPONSORED In the immediate backlash to the campaign, announced on Monday, Nike shares fell nearly 4 percent at one point on Tuesday and closed down 3.2 percent. Calls for a boycott fed social media buzz about the campaign. There were 2.7 million mentions of Nike over the previous 24 hours, the social media analysis firm Talkwalker said at midday, an increase of 135 percent over the previous week. “This is right on the money for Nike. They stand for this irreverent, rebellious attitude. In this case, it’s reinforcing the brand,” said Erich Joachimsthaler, CEO of strategy consulting firm Vivaldi. After his protests, Kaepernick could not find a job for the 2017 season and sued the National Football League, accusing owners of colluding to blackball him. He is still without a team. Nike has sponsored Kaepernick since 2011 and said he will be one of several faces for a campaign marking the 30th anniversary of its “Just Do It” slogan. http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/reuters/topNews/~3/b2UlSL4wB8Q/kaepernick-ads-spark-boycott-call-but-nike-seen-benefiting-idUSKCN1LK1DK http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Business using http://wochit.com

Project was created during a 3-months full-time data science program called Data Science Retreat. I’ve developed a brand recognition system that detects logos in real-life photos. It uses Deep Learning and SVM on Instagram images uploaded by users. It allows for better brand monitoring in social media independently from text descriptions and hashtags. I’ve used state-of-the-art Deep Learning tools (Theano, Lasagne, Caffe). Deep Learning is an advanced Machine Learning technic that usually needs lot of data and powerful machines. I would like to show how to use it when you don't have huge dataset and your resources are limited in time and money. What makes a truly great logo

04:45
Here's how a simple mark ends up meaning something big as a great logo. Joe Posner, and Michael Bierut (designer of the Hillary Clinton logo) explain. For more from Michael Bierut on graphic design, check out his book "How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, cry, and (every once in a while) change the world": http://www.amazon.com/How-Michael-Bierut/dp/0062413902 Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO About once a month, there's a new logo to fight about on the internet. The biggest one in recent memory was the highly controversial Hillary Clinton logo, which did not escape scrutiny from Vox.com either. But as a designer/filmmaker, something about these repeated discussions struck me as missing the point on what makes logos tick. It often has little to do with the subjective musings. So I called up Michael Bierut, the designer of that Hillary Clinton logo and countless others. He sat down with me and helped explain the elements of a great logo in the video above. Nike's Big Move

17:22
Today on the show we're talking about Nike's Big Move. Why did decide to make Colin Kaepernick the face of their 30th anniversary campaign? The answer is pretty simple...always be qualifying. They're in a marketplace that is continuing to grow around them and Nike is a brand that is so used to be in the culture that for them to make a bold move makes sense for brand recognition. It's almost smart to take a stand on where they feel social trends are going and to be honest, it's hard to not side on equality. That jingle stuck in your head, that hilarious logo or that punchy slogan – all perfect examples of the ways companies work to get our attention. Naturally, the company name is where it all begins. Have a lousy or embarrassing name and that could dissuade potential customers from buying your product. Some companies have found this out the hard way, while others have lucked out and changed their name to one we all easily recognize today. Small Business Branding - What's Your Brand

03:34
What’s Your Brand? With so many people and businesses looking for work, having a strong personal brand has become a priority. What’s your personal brand identity? Regardless of who you are, your age, position, or the business you happen to be in, all of us need to understand the importance of branding. Why do people pay $4 for a cup of coffee when they could just as easily buy a similar product for $1.50? The answer my friend is branding…the power of a brand. A great brand is not about touting features and benefits. It’s about connection on an emotional level. It’s about loyalty that defies logic. The question is, how do you build that type of brand? Were responsible for our own companies: “ME, MYSELF & I, INCORPORATED.” To be in business today, our most important job is to market the brand called YOU. It’s a simple concept but hard to do. Social media tools like Twitter, blogs, Linked-in and websites have leveled the playing ground and have enabled us to reach incredible heights. Personal branding describes the process by which we as individuals and business owners differentiate ourselves from the competition ….. by identifying and articulating our individual competency and value. In this way, we should be trying to become thought leaders in our field, to become recognized among peers and mentors for our innovative ideas, and to demonstrate competency. Enhancing our reputation as experts in our field, establishing a reputation of reliability and credibility with our peers and customers ….. Will all help advance our business and career. Perceived VALUE is key   Ask yourself: Is there anything about your company that makes people fall in love with it? Are your customers emotionally connected to your company? Is it easy for a client to leave your company? You want your customers or associates to think of you different than your competition. You or your business need to be an entity that consistently demonstrates a strong, reliable, able and constantly producing good value for them! That’s your brand:  Value, Differentiation and Marketability! Personal branding typically begins with establishing an inventory of core competencies, expertise, demonstrated abilities, and existing level of recognition, informed by market research or feedback. So What’s your brand?

Creating Brand Awareness - Strategy With Digital Media

04:36
Contact Edwin at 714-300-9566 Creating Brand Awareness - Strategy With Digital Media Building a strong brand awareness strategy isn’t just a great idea — a solid strategy helps you directly impact your company’s bottom line sales figures. A great brand awareness strategy requires a multi-faceted approach to improving brand engagement with past, current, and future customers. In a world where 70 percent of buying experiences are based on how the customer feels they are being treated, it is incredibly important that brands establish a loyal following of active customers. To make the most of branding efforts, marketers should focus their attention on the brand's identified target market. Through increased efforts marketers can increase brand-awareness to a larger, more qualified audience. Audiences can be found online via the brand website or through direct targeting on the right social media networks at the right time. Did you know that in 2014 92 percent of marketers agreed that social media was important for their business? However, only 72 percent of marketers use social media to develop loyal fans. Instead of sitting passively by while fans come to your brand's social media accounts, you will need to proactively search for your targeted (soon to be loyal) audience. In 2015 and beyond, success on social media networks will require marketers to take a proactive, rather than reactive, stance. Being proactive can help you to increase brand awareness in your audience and the ROI of your social media marketing. Strategic Branding & Creating Brand Awareness

Your brand is your product or company name and what it stands for. It is not only your logo as some people mistakenly believe. Your brand is a living organism, something that changes over time and must be nurtured.
