Sea Gypsies: The Far Side of the World

03:39
Trailer for the film - www.seagypsiesmovie.com The vessel is Infinity, a 120 ft hand-built gypsy boat, crewed by a band of miscreants. The journey, an 8,000 mile pacific crossing, from New Zealand to Patagonia, with a stop in Antarctica. Unlike all the other boats heading to Antarctica though, Infinity is no well-financed, ice-reinforced super yacht, crewed by well-paid professional sailors, with carefully thought out agendas. Infinity lives in the moment and sails on a whim, without permission or insurance of any kind. What can to be found in abundance onboard, is blood, sweat, enthusiasm, disdain for authority and an ample supply of alcohol, a mad voyage of reckless adventure just for the thrill of it. Along the way the crew will battle a force 12 hurricane of ice in the Ross Sea, assist the radical environmental group Sea Shepherd in their fight with Japanese whalers, tear every sail they have and unwittingly go further south than any other sailing vessel in 2014. Underlying the dramatic sailing adventure, is the quest for awe and sense of wonder with the raw power of the natural world. The story touches on environmental activism themes, a rapidly diminishing ecosystem and raw adventure, not reserved for the elite. Winner of numerous awards and chosen for the Banff Mountain film World Tour, and Ocean Film Festival World Tour

A little snippet of a song I wrote called "Gypsy Sea" that will be on my up and coming Album! ❤️ This is the second song I've e v e r written with an instrument and the very first song I've E V E R written with my guitar. . No lie...typing that ↑ gets me teary-eyed. I've been working really hard to push past many insecurities that have kept me from sharing the fact that LOVE to sing and LOVE to write music. 1 year ago.. the only people who knew about my passion were my family and a few close friends...And Now, I'm working on a EP?! I just can't explain how amazing it feels. Seeing the rewards that come from facing my fears is pretty incredible and sometimes unbelievable. I still have a long road ahead of me, filled with lots of hard work. But I'm ready. . So thankful for my PARENTS, family, and friends (new and old) that push me, see the best in me and believe in me even when I don't believe in myself❤️ I love you all so much .... great, now im crying . CHEERS TO GROWTH! ❤️ . #singer #songwriter #music #musician #art #artist #newmusic #newsong #production #acoustic #guitar #gibson #canadian #canada #toronto #fisheye #love #happiness #alien #gratitude #gypsy #dream #motivation #selfworth #loveyourself #selflove #growth #workhard #trusttheuniverse #trusttheprocess

Ussaleemala - Sea Gypsy band

01:43
Music of the Thai sea gypsy band, Ussaleemala. Rong Ngeng is the traditional folk dance and music celebration customarily performed on special occasions by the sea gypsies. The sea gypsies are the Moken (Morgan) people who live in Bon Bay on Koh Surin Tai. Their way of life is being threatened by developers who want to force the sea gypsies off the land they've inhabited for generations.

Before It's Too Late - Part 9 - Whale Shark Gypsy of the Sea

05:45
BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE EPISODE 6 - WHALE SHARK GYPSY OF THE DEEP looks at the enigmatic whale shark. A favourite with divers the world over, this the biggest fish in the sea has attracted the imagination and attention of people all over the world. Unfortunately this includes commercial fisherman from the Far East. The problem is, little is known of this giant fish, the biggest of all fish. But what is known is that it is one of the world's rarest fish and unless something is done to protect it this fish will go the same way as thousands of other endangered species, it could well become extinct. Gypsy of the Deep looks at what is happening globally to this creature. We travel to the Indian Ocean, to the Seychelles and Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, to the Philippines where the whale shark has just be declared a protected species and to Taiwan where the aggressively hunt the whale shark for restaurant and dinner tables. We see the shark market where a huge pregnant whale shark was landed and see the only pictures of more than 300 pups that were inside the whale shark ready to be born. Until now Whale Sharks have only been seen on film as single solitary fish cruising off the coast of Western Australia. In this film we see them congregate. We also see magnificent underwater pictures, music and storytelling tell of the plight of this gentle giant. Above the waves we meet the people who are concerned for the species future, the conservation officers and scientists in the Seychelles, Australia, Japan America and the Philippines who are fighting to save these creatures. Storyteller produce and distribute documentaries and factual programming specialising in animals and nature; from endangered species and what's being done to save them to mysterious animal and monster stories. http://www.storyteller.com.au http://www.animalx.net http://www.facebook.com/storytellermn http://twitter.com/storytellermn http://www.animalalliestv.com http://beforeitstoolate.org/

Pacific Rim - Gypsy Collapses at Anchorage's Icy Shore

03:30
Disclaimer: I do not own the following content that is about to be shown. This is only purposed for Mecha and Kaiju fans around the world. Please understand. Thank you. After the dramatic heart-striking death of Raleigh's older brother, Raleigh goes for the kill even though the Jaeger's systems are weak and Raleigh loads the plasma cannon. But due to it's slow and painful charge, Raleigh has to end up suffering the pain that the Jaeger sustained as the angry monster tares out parts of Gypsy's shoulder after amputating the left arm. The system continues to fail and the plasma cannon took longer process to release one shot. Or since there's only one pilot operating the Jaeger solo, that's what causes it to charge painfully slow. Raleigh finally blows chunks out of the Kaiju's face, killing it. Later back at the icy beach shore of Anchorage, two citizens walk along the shore to find metal objects for their personal usage. As they found a metal toy robot. Helping to know the scale of from tiny to giant. The elderly grandpa receives an extremely strong metal detection from his detector. He raises his detector and sees a strong reading on the small digital meter, it's extremely high. As we hear the gigantic massed Jaeger come into the shore. The two witnesses Gypsy Danger the giant mechanical being collapse on her knees. They managed to move away from it's legs and this Jaeger is so huge and with it's overpowered weight, the Jaeger collapses on her front. The grandpa and the grandson watches as a traumatized pilot walks out of the head of the Jaeger. Raleigh, having to suffer the neural overflow and handling the neural connection alone, walks alone and mourning to his brother's death, and he soon collapses on his back and breathing hard as he suffered minor neurological damage with his damaged suit. Having to sustain most of it's damage on his left arm just like Gypsy sustained her damage on her left shoulder or even arm. The Jaeger and this lone pilot lost their function in this world. As Raleigh is later rescued to the medical bay or hospital for recovery. Being one of the few pilots to pilot a Jaeger alone, including Stacker. The end of this scene. It was a tragic moment for me, to be honest. It was :( I don't get why some people are so heartless. I would like to see them fight the Kaiju in that head. Then come back and tell me your regrets on saying what you said previously before. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this scene. It was really emotional. Alright, bye. You can see this soon on http://theshatterdome.blogspot.com/

Sea Gypsy Village - Ko Lanta Loy Ruea (Boat floating) ceremony

00:21
Example of the latter is the Loy Ruea (floating boat) ceremony where the village men build a symbolic boat and place wooden statues of themselves in it along with nail pairings, hair and popped rice. By performing this ritual, they ask for forgiveness from the sea gods and for any wrongs that may have done to the sea. It is believed that all evil is carried away in the symbolic boat.

THAILAND TRAVEL: Moken Sea Gypsy Bonding Time (Surin Island) by BEE XOOMSAI

03:21
This video is for Food & Travel & Life Experiences Blog "Bee's Journey". The Mokens are an Austronesian ethnic group who still maintain their sea-based culture until today. They live a primitive-ish live and have their own tribal language. There are around 2,000 Mokens scattered along the west coast of Thailand, but on this particular island there are only about 100. Out of these 100-ish Mokens on this island, perhaps around 20 young men work as boat crew for boat tour companies in Phuket and Phang-Nga provinces, and send their income to support their families. They work for 6 months each year and base in mainland, but reside on their own territory for another 6 months during the Monsoon season. To read more, view photos and watch other videos, visit my blog on www.beesjourney.com :) I had the chance to go on a secret island trip last year with a friend and stayed with the Moken Sea Gypsy for 10 days. It was a secluded island 60 km off coast in the South of Thailand and we felt very fortunate getting to live a primitive life with them (no electricity, water supply system or phone reception). By far it was the best trip I'd ever had. LINKS: Bee Xoomsai Official Portfolio: www.beexoomsai.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/BeeXoomsai Instagram: beexoomsai
