Coming then Going: Old-school JDM classics, NIssans, Toyotas, Mazdas, Shakotan, Zokusha

03:17
In this video you'll see lots of classic Japanese cars rolling into a car-show (the Bungo Retro Charity Meeting). Also, you'll see a bunch of lowered (shakotan), 80's vintage cars leaving. All are good if you a fan of "old-school" Japanese cars. It's a car show I've been to before and can be considered one of the better car shows in Kyushu. Expect to see Nissan Skylines, classic Toyotas (such as Celicas, Starlets & Coronas), plus other classic s from Mazda, Subaru & more. I Bought A 70 Year Old Classic Ford To Pay Homage To My Grandfather

39:27
Subscribe today to catch all my upcoming project episodes and reviews! http://bit.ly/1RXFn3v In today's video, we pay homage to my grandfather in the most meaningful way I thought possible. Papa was 94, literally the strongest person I’ve ever known. From dealing with scoliosis his whole life to a number of other things, he had been through just about everything. No matter what, he never ever complained. The man had more fortitude than anyone I’ve ever met. He was always so happy and go lucky, an inspiration for anyone he met. He loved cars, especially ones with lots of chrome as long term subscribers are fondly aware of. His favorite way to describe things was to say they were a “humdinger”. He lived an incredible life and led several careers, including being a sheriff deputy for a number of years, always serving his community and looking after others. Papa was my best friend through and through. I’m going to miss him so much. It’s comforting to know that at least he’s in a better place and finally back with my grandmother. We love you #PapaSlim ❤️ Here's the "review" I filmed on my '48 when I had it 5 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a55tCPeIEdU Most recent update video (new shop/new direction): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve1r6JA3gf0 ***My Social Media Channels*** Website: http://saabkyle04.com/ Online Store: http://shop.saabkyle04.com/ Instagram: http://instagram.com/saabkyle04llc/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/Saabkyle04LLC Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Saabkyle04LLC Drivetribe: https://www.drivetribe.com (Saabkyle04) I know you’re probably asking yourself, what exactly is Saabkyle04 and why should I subscribe? It's kinda funny now watching these old videos from our previous channel. It almost feels like it was a long time ago but it's only been a couple of months. I guess that's because each week/month, so much seems to happen and things change both in real life and on YouTube. I kinda miss making PS Vita videos and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Soul Sacrifice. I think that game is really going to be great and a good series here on our new channel Music: Demex

Nostalgic 2days Classic JDM Show - Celebrating Japan's Aging Population

12:49
As the name suggest, the Nostalgic 2days Show is a two-day event with a focus on classic Japanese cars. It's the 8th year the show has been held and the first time I've been. I'll be the first to admit I have very limited knowledge when it comes to old Japanese cars but the idea of this show did sound interesting to me. Plus there aren't too many classic car shows held in Japan so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go. Apologies in advanced if you came here expecting to learn something new. JDM Legends at ENEOS SEMA Booth - Short 2 (2018)

01:04
JDM Legends 1972 DATSUN 240Z - Like many Japanese classics, the 240Z is currently enjoying a renaissance and ENEOS has captured one of the most popular examples for its SEMA booth. Sport compact fans will recognize this example from the hit Velocity TV show, JDM Legends, as well as the cover of Super Street Magazine. The resto-mod favorite has been tastefully restored and upgraded by Utah-based JDM Legends. The company specializes in the importation and restoration of Japanese classics and the 240Z is typical of its work. The car belongs to Daniel Song, who initially attempted to complete the work himself but a busy schedule encouraged him to seek the help of Eric Bizek at JDM Legends. The collaborative result is a stunning sports car with a later and more powerful 2.8-liter, six-cylinder powerplant. It sports twin carburetors and a retro-styled exhaust system to create the sight and sound of a period correct Datsun. The pair also spent countless hours sourcing rare parts to create a fan favorite. For SEMA 2018, the 240Z has received a special livery courtesy of ENEOS Motor Oil, which pays tribute to one of its illustrious predecessors. It will be revealed in the ENEOS booth #24313 in Central Hall when the show opens on October 30 at 9AM. Fans of JDM Legends can meet Eric Bizek and his crew in the ENEOS booth #24313 on October 31 at 11AM and on November 1 at 12PM.

Wrecks to Riches | S1E2 | Christine Camaro

43:33
Barry White knows a good wreck when he sees one. At least he thought he did. The old '69 Camaro shell he bought from a wrecking yard turns out to be cursed. Paint-stripper and angle-grinders reveal hidden rust and dodgy body work, delaying the build and forcing him to shell out more money than he planned on new sheet-metal. That's just the start of it. As the build goes on, strange things start happening. The super-charger doesn't fit the engine. Wrong parts are delivered. The engine bay catches fire. Wind sends newly painted parts crashing to the ground and back to the paint shop. The team dub the Camaro "Christine" after the killer car in Stephen King's novel. But Barry gets help from an unusual source. The Corona Police Department have some muscle car fans who offer to get the build back on schedule. The well-drilled machine work like a dream and finally Christine is ready for auction at picturesque Jackson Hole. But Barry's had to spend way more than he planned. The Camaro owes him $40,000. Barry's nervous. Even more so when the auction gets underway and a rival fully restored Camaro goes under the hammer for just $25,000. Will Christine's curse mean Barry loses his shirt?

Master The Classics: Bijou

05:15
Bijou means "Jewel" in French and this cocktail was so named (we think) because the liquors used to make it correspond with the colors of jewels. Master The Classics: Knickerbocker

06:38
The knickerbocker is thought to have started in Boston around 1850. In the decade between the 1850’s and 1860’s this cocktail as an incredibly popular summer drink and versions of it can be found in Jerry Thomas’ Bon Vivant’s Guide published in 1862, William Terrington’s “Cooling Cups and Dainty Drinks published in 1869 and Harry Johnston’s New and Improved Bartenders Manual published in 1882. And that very year, 1882 is the last time this lovely cocktail is seen in print for a very long time. The knickerbocker can be looked at as the grandfather to tiki drinks and one of the better lesser punches that came about when people had less time to sit around a punch bowl and drinks had to be made in a smaller format so they could be dispatched quickly. Either way, we’re glad that David Wondrich rediscovered this gem, it’s definitely worth a tipple! Master The Classics: Cameron's Kick

06:15
The Cameron’s kick first came into being from any source I can find in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail book published in 1930. A lot of you will see it for what it is which is essentially an Army & Navy cocktail but the base spirit has been switched to equal parts Irish Whiskey and Scotch. And That is the very thing which is so surprising about it. The split base spirits mixed with orgeat and lemon juice seems like a pairing that just would’t work, in theory, but in practice it actually works quite well. I wish i had more history to impart on you about this one but I just don’t. Either Craddock made it up himself and that’s the end of the story or he got it from somewhere else and never told anyone, either way this drink is good enough to find a place in these videos and for us to take the time to shoot it. So grab your shaker, orgeat and whiskey and let’s make a drink! Tutorial Starts: 2:45 Here's links to the tools I use in this episode: Barfly Shaking Set: https://amzn.to/2OYG0w4 Barfly Hawthorn Strainer: https://amzn.to/2OkFZ8v Barfly Copper Measuring Cup: https://amzn.to/2BA24Yk Barfly Fine Strainer: https://amzn.to/2RaFkoS If you guys want to check out our full amazon store you can do so here: https://www.amazon.com/shop/theeducatedbarfly We are happy to announce that we are officially sponsored by Barfly Mixology Gear. Another one by Toby Maloney of the Violet Hour in Chicago! Mr. Maloney is known for his daring cocktail combinations and this is no exception! It's basically a Gin sour with the addition of Absinthe and Green Chartreuse two ingredients that I know at least half of you are giving the side eye and the other half are drooling over, but guys, this drink is worth it! Give it a shot and I guarantee it'll be on your regular rotation! So enjoy! I'm not going to write out all the particulars on Mr. Maloney's history and such as I did just a few episodes ago on Eeyore's Requiem. Hitomi Hisono reinterprets Wedgwood classics with Japanese aesthetics

01:50
Hitomi Hosono explains how she combined British and Japanese aesthetics to create a collection of ceramics for Wedgwood in this video Dezeen filmed at their factory in Stoke-On-Trent. Hosono, a ceramicist from Japan known for intricate porcelain pots featuring botanical forms, designed the collection in collaboration with Wedgwood, after being invited to take part in the brand's artist in residence program. The collection is comprised of vases, bowls and ornamental boxes in an unglazed matte finish typical of Wedgwood's signature Jasperwar – a kind of stoneware developed by the brand's founder Josiah Wedgwood in the 18th century. Jasperware products typically employ relief decorations of human figures and natural forms known as sprigs, which are cast in clay molds and added to the pots. "Sprigs are like thin leaves made of clay," explains Hosono in the interview. "I chose jasper sprigs from Wedgwood's archive and applied them in a new way on the pots, with a Japanese aesthetic."
