Japanese Street Fashion - Raw, Harajuku

07:40
Meet Raw, a standout Japanese student at Tokyo's famous Bunka Fashion College. After playing sports in high school, Raw had a life-changing experience while experimenting with fashion. "Our Streets, My Style" is our original show taking you up close and personal with Japanese street style personalities. Meet the amazing people featured in the daily street snaps Tokyo Fashion has been publishing for over a decade. Raw on Instagram & Twitter https://www.instagram.com/lifecoming1/ https://twitter.com/coming1101 We first met Raw (Kota) on the streets of Harajuku back in 2017. We got to know him while he attended his first year at the most famous fashion school in Asia, Japan's Bunka Fashion College. Often wearing his own handmade (or at least hand modified) creations, he immediately struck us as someone who was more serious about fashion than the average Harajuku kid. During the summer of 2017, Raw scored an internship at the world famous Dog Harajuku boutique (known for their relationship with Lady Gaga as well as numerous other international celebrities and stylists) - establishing himself as one of the new faces worth watching in the Japanese street fashion scene. Now a second year student at Bunka Fashion College, Raw continues to focus on making his own outfits as well as expanding his skills in fashion styling and fashion promotion. He also spends time thinking about how modern social media impacts what fashion people wear, and how people present themselves on social media. Enjoy Raw's interview, and please leave comments if you have any thoughts or questions on what he has to say, on Bunka Fashion College, or on Harajuku. 12 Most Insane Japanese School Rules You Won’t Believe Actually Exist

08:51
12 Most Insane Japanese School Rules You Won’t Believe Actually Exist ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/vHN6qB For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Education and schooling traditions are wildly different in various parts of the world. What is perfectly normal in the UK may be completely unheard of in Germany, and the rules commonly found in the Japanese education system are certainly not usual in the USA! Japanese schools are notoriously strict and much more standardized than many schools in western countries. Nonetheless, they also net the kind of results that we in the west envy and desire to replicate. There are definitely some rules that you will find hard to believe; the question is, do they contribute to the resounding success of Japan’s education system? Here are 12 Japanese School Rules You Won’t Believe Actually Exist; 12. Kancho-ing the Teacher The word Kancho in itself is a slang version of the word used to denote a medical enema, but refers to a children’s game (believe it or not). Kanchoing is more of a tradition than a rule, but it’s definitely something to be aware of if you plan to teach English in Japan! 11. No Accessories! As you will soon find out, there is often a strict dress code in Japanese schools, but there is also a rule against using accessories to change your appearance! Students are prohibited from using colored contact lenses, dying their hair, and having unusual piercings. In fact, some schools even ban the painting of nails and the grooming of eyebrows! 10. Students are Prohibited from Dating and Having Open Relationships! Japan takes the education of its youngsters very seriously and brooks no distractions – even from other students! In Junior High Schools in particular, this is a view which is enforced with regulation. Junior High students are not allowed to date romantically or enter into an open relationship at all! 9. Cell Phones Are Not Allowed to be Used Inside the School The theme of education-first is one that can be seen in all Japanese school rules. As such, you probably won’t be surprised to learn that cell phones are also prohibited during lessons. However, you might be shocked to learn that they are not allowed to be used anywhere in the building at all. 8. Strict Dress Code Only twenty percent of schools in the USA have a dress code (and they are usually private schools), but in Japan, almost all schools from Junior High level upwards have a strict uniform to which students must adhere. 7. Punctuality Good timekeeping is a focus in pretty much all schooling systems, of course, but in Japan, it is taken very seriously! Children are expected to be in school at 8:30am on the button, and if they are more than five minutes late, you can be sure they will be punished to a certain degree. 6. Respectful Greetings Japanese culture is one which focusses heavily on respect; respect for authority figures and elders, as well as each other, is a key part of this for school children. As such, Japanese school children greet their teachers with a bow at the beginning of their lessons and say goodbye in the same manner. 5. The Sasumata American school children will no doubt be familiar with intruder drills, but in Japan, they take matters one step further by ensuring that there is something on hand to defend against violent intruders. 4. No Substitutes Can you imagine leaving a classroom full of American Junior High students unattended for a full period? Sounds like every teacher’s worst nightmare, right? Well, in Japan, this is commonplace. 3. Mandatory Swimming Lessons Japan is an island nation after all! Not only is swimming a part of the curriculum in Japan, but most schools actually have their own swimming pool to use. Students will swim as a part of their weekly education and are required to learn how to swim a minimum distance. 2. No Janitors Part of the culture of respect instilled in Japanese children includes caring for their surroundings and taking responsibility for their actions. This is why you won’t find janitors in any Japanese schools! 1. Summer Bummer Perhaps the biggest difference between Japanese and American schools, however, is the way summer vacation is structured. First and foremost, the vacation is only five weeks long. Adorable and Affordable Korean Fashion! | Youvimi Review

Read me! I have important information/sorta funny banter! Wowie, this took waaaay too long to edit. Anyhow, Youvimi contacted me for a sponsorship, which I accepted after some thought! I'm always on the hunt for quality and cute clothes so I was surprised to see that the quality for these clothes were soo good! I would classify this as a "pay for what you get" sort of deal-- the price speaks for the quality. If you look at other websites selling similar items, they're a lot cheaper, BUT their quality is, uh, questionable. Also, this website isn't a scam and the customer service is quite nice. :) Links!: Skirt: https://www.youvimi.com/collections/dresses-skirt/products/sweet-love-high-waist-woolen-skirts-yv2477 Black top: https://www.youvimi.com/collections/tops/products/dragon-long-sleeve-embroidery-sweater-yv1506 Pikachu turtleneck: https://www.youvimi.com/products/lovely-pikachu-turtleneck-winter-hoodies-jacket-yv8092 Youvimi: https://www.youvimi.com/ Thanks for watching and thanks to Youvimi for the items!

Japanese Street Fashion Interview - Rikarin, Harajuku

04:37
Meet Rikarin, a kawaii-loving Japanese college student who plans to keep Harajuku in her heart no matter where life takes her. "Our Streets, My Style" is our original show taking you up close and personal with Japanese street style personalities. Meet the amazing people featured in the daily street snaps Tokyo Fashion has been publishing for over a decade. Rikarin on Instagram & Twitter: https://instagram.com/rikarin0526/ https://twitter.com/rikarin0526 We first met Rikarin when she was a Japanese high school student participating in the once-a-month Harajuku Fashion Walk event. In her early Harajuku days - nearly 5 years ago - she most often dressed in super colorful Japanese decora or fairy kei style fashion. Having attended international school, Rikarin stood out from the crowd as one of the only Japanese kids who could speak English and easily make friends with foreign Harajuku Fashion Walk participants. Her bright sunny personality and sense of humor also helped her to make fast friends with people from Japan and around the world. The famous Harajuku kawaii brand 6%DOKIDOKI has been Rikarin's favorite fashion brand for as long as we have known her. While her style has evolved from decora over the years, Rikarin continues to incorporate kawaii elements - and 6%DOKIDOKI items - into her looks. After graduating from high school, Rikarin attended one of Japan's most prestigious universities and held part-time jobs at several popular Harajuku shops. All of these experiences - aalong with watching lots of other kids arrive and depart the street fashion scene - have given Rikarin more perspective on Harajuku. For the last year, she has been working on a college project documenting the Harajuku experience. As she enters her final year of college, Rikarin has begun Japan's traditional career-hunting phase. For most students of top schools here in Japan, that means dyeing your hair black and wearing a black suit while attending nearly indistinguishable interviews at distinguished Japanese companies. Rikarin is hoping to break that mold, working hard to find a career that both pays the bills and allows her to celebrate her love of all things colorful and happy. Harajuku has been a key part of making Rikarin the person she is today. She's sure that she'll keep the spirit of Harajuku alive inside of her forever - no matter where life may take Rikarin in the future. Japanese Street Fashion - Beni, Harajuku

06:40
Meet Beni, a Japanese high school student with a love of dance and art. On the streets of Harajuku, Beni discovered that fashion helped her to express herself, make new friends, and grow as a person. "Our Streets, My Style" is our original show taking you up close and personal with Japanese street style personalities. Meet the amazing people featured in the daily street snaps Tokyo Fashion has been publishing for over a decade. Beni on Instagram & Twitter https://www.instagram.com/beni9s/ https://twitter.com/beniemily9s We first met Beni on the streets of Harajuku in the spring of 2017. She was a Japanese high school student who dressed mostly in trendy styles sold by popular boutiques in the famous Tokyo neighborhood. As we got to know more about her, we learned that Beni was an aspiring artist, and that she had also been involved in dance (both ballet and modern dance) since she was very young. Having been interested in creative expression through art and dance since she was a child, we were not surprised to see Beni dive deeper into fashion as another medium to express herself. As she spent more time in Harajuku, Beni's personal style began to move away from trendy shops and toward independent designers, vintage shops, and experimental looks. Beni also began to make new friends on the streets of Harajuku - creative young people from all over Tokyo who shared her love of fashion and who have similar dreams and ambitions. When she first arrived in Harajuku, she didn't know anyone in the neighborhood. By the spring of 2018, Beni had built a large new family of friends, acquaintances, and creative collaborators - a group of kids who inspire and support each other in fashion and in life. Beni's story is similar to the story of many other Harajuku kids who visit Harajuku casually at first, and then discover a deeper love of fashion - and a new group of creative friends. We hope that you'll enjoy hearing about this evolution first hand from a real Harajuku girl. If you have questions for Beni, feel free to ask her by commenting on her personal Instagram. Japanese Street Fashion - Sakuran, Harajuku

08:18
Sakuran is an 18-year-old Japanese fashion student known for her one-of-a-kind remake outfits. She grew up in a small town 1,000 km from Tokyo, but eventually discovered her love of extreme fashion on the streets of Harajuku. "Our Streets, My Style" is our original show taking you up close and personal with Japanese street style personalities. Meet the amazing people featured in the daily street snaps Tokyo Fashion has been publishing for over a decade. Sakuran on Instagram and Twitter: https://instagram.com/sakuran_is_/ https://twitter.com/sakuran_is_ When we first met Sakuran, she was a high school student living in a small town in Japan's norther most prefecture, Hokkaido. She was on a visit to Tokyo when a shop owner told us to drop everything and come to his shop right away. He had a new customer who we absolutely must meet. We rushed over and were greeted by a young Japanese woman - dressed in handmade fashion, silver platform boots, and a painted face - the likes of which we had never seen. Though young, it was clear Sakuran was one of a kind from our first meeting. She threw all rules out the window and wore what she wanted to wear, regardless of how extreme it might look compared to other fashion on the street. Over the next year, we got to know her during her regular visits to Harajuku. She worked at a part time job in Hokkaido, saved up money for several months, then spent all of that money to visit Tokyo for a weekend. In addition to her fashion, we were impressed with her determination to be part of the Harajuku fashion scene a thousand kilometers away. Over the next year Sakuran became friends with many Harajuku kids, shop staff, and other Tokyo street style personalities. Her confidence and styling skills also evolved as she grew closer to graduation from high school. Eventually, she graduated from her small town high school and was accepted into the honors program at Tokyo's Vantan Fashion College. Now a student at Vantan in Tokyo and working part time at a popular independent Harajuku select shop, Sakuran remains fiercely unique. She dreams of being a designer, and wants to encourage other people to find what's unique inside of themselves and amplify it. Follow Sakuran on Instagram to see more of her art and colorful fashion. You can also ask her questions directly via her social media accounts. Please leave comments in the YouTube comments if you have suggestions for future episodes of this show. Japanese Street Fashion - Shoshi, Harajuku

06:15
Meet Shoshi, a well-known Japanese street style icon and aspiring select shop owner. Shoshi's life was changed forever after discovering a passion for fashion on the streets of Harajuku. "Our Streets, My Style" is our original show taking you up close and personal with Japanese street style personalities. Meet the amazing people featured in the daily street snaps Tokyo Fashion has been publishing for over a decade. Shoshi on Instagram and Twitter: https://instagram.com/we_can_do_anything/ https://twitter.com/_BABYSLUT_ We first met Shoshi (aka Shoushi or Shoshipoyo) on the streets of Harajuku over five years ago. At that time, Shoshi - who prefers the pronoun they/them - was a Japanese high school student trying out different styles to find out who they were. In addition to their love of fashion, Shoshi was (and is) passionate about music. Shoshi counts Brooke Candy and Lady Gaga as two artists who've inspired them. Over the years, we watched Shoshi's style and interests evolve. After graduating from high school and enrolling in Tokyo's most famous Fashion School, Bunka Fashion College, their unique style and personality began inspiring a younger generation of Harajuku kids, establishing Shoshi as an icon of the Japanese street fashion scene. Recent years have seen Shoshi travel to Europe and America, collaborate with international creatives, work at one of Tokyo's most influential boutiques (Dog Harajuku), graduate from Bunka Fashion College, and flirt with the launch of their own online select shop. Shoshi's future plans are far from clear, as Shoshi is always in motion and full of dreams and ambitions. What is clear is that wherever Shoshi goes from here, their time spent on the streets of Harajuku changed their life forever - for the better. Follow Shoshi on Instagram if you'd like to keep up with their adventures. You can also ask them questions directly via their social media linked above. Please leave comments in the YouTube comments if you have suggestions for future episodes of this show. Thank you for watching and for supporting Japanese street style. On Facebook with tons of photos : https://www.facebook.com/Tokyo.Street.Fashion.KAWAII.PATEEN Official site : http://waoryu.jp ---------------------- I would like to curl my hair. This time I will use a thick 32mm tong. I will start with the bangs. The top and the bottom part will be done differently. I want to make it fluffy, so the tip of the hair should be curled strongly. It should be fluffy from the root part, so the iron should go further in diagonally and make it fluffy from the start. Next, we will make the hair on the face line to curl inwards. Only the tip should be done in a horizontal curl to make it curl inwards. The hair around the face line is done. The rest should be curled in mixture curl. From the top, take this much bundle of hair and start curling. By making this first bundle in an inward curl, it will give a girly impression. Next we will take about the same amount and make it an outward curl. By curling from the top, you would make an even curl to the tip of your hair. Starting from the inward curl from the inside. Finally, I would like to loosen the whole hair. Using brush is ok, but your hands will make the curl evenly without breaking the curl. Take a bundle and loosen it as if you are tearing it apart. When you have given some volume to it, it is done. Now I would like to put on the head dress. This head dress has a thick ribbon on it, so I would like to divide the hair to the front and the back of my ear. Since the blouse also has a ribbon on it, the ribbon on the head dress should go on the back. When you fix the ribbon here, it stabilizes well. Lastly, I would like to bring it more to the front, so I will hold it with a pin. The other side should also be held with a pin The ribbon should go on the back. When this part is floating, it would look like it is "on" it, so bring the hair on the back to the front and give it some volume to even it out. Finally, shape it, and it is done. I would like to put on the head dress. Adjust it to determine the center position. Position the ribbon so it will be symmetrical. Bring the ribbon to the back of the ear. t would be okay to tie it in the front or the back, but since it is a narrow white ribbon, I would like to tie it in the front. Shape the ribbon and bring the rear part here, and it is done. I had introduced the drooping eye Lolita make-up today. I would be glad if you could also try it as well.

A look inside the world of Japan's wealthiest citizens. Subscribe: https://goo.gl/Hnoaw3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life as a rich kid in Japan isn’t always about being flashy and excessively showing off your wealth. One type of rich kid likes to blend in with the crowd and not put their wealth on display, while the others don’t think twice about spending six-figures on a luxury automobile. We’re going to show you both sides of how Japans elite rich kids live. From expensive boarding schools to apartments that cost more than most home mortgages, get ready to take a peek into their lives in our video: Inside The Lives Of The Rich Kids Of Japan. After they’re all done with their schooling, some rich kids continue living with their parents, while others move out on their own. It’s not uncommon for some rich kids to snag a million dollar home, like the five-bedroom mansion we’ll show you in our video. An expensive mansion wouldn’t be complete without a Rolls Royce in the garage, right? Just wait until you hear how much money rich kids are spending on these super expensive cars by adding custom details, such as refrigerators and television sets. When they’re not driving around in their flashy cars, they’re traveling by train to see all that Japan has to offer. But this isn’t your typical train ride. The tickets cost $8,400 for a three-day trip! From their expensive vacations to dinners that cost $300, the rich kids of Japan are living it up without a care in the world. If you’d like to learn more about how they live their lives, including the rich girls who spend thousands of dollars at Japan’s host clubs and the wealthy who bathe in wine, make sure to watch our video. Leave us a comment and let us know which part of their expensive lifestyle shocked you the most! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheTalko Twitter: https://twitter.com/thetalko Instagram: https://instagram.com/the_talko ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.thetalko.com/
