8 Things NOT to Do in Los Angeles

03:54
Get more Tips here! www.destinationtips.com #1 Don't Book a Flight to LAX Avoid the crowds at LAX by flying instead to Burbank's Bob Hope Airport. It's far easier to navigate and is less crowded and has a direct rail connection to downtown Los Angeles. #2 Don't get stuck in a queue at Pink's Unless you enjoy tediously long waits and mediocre grub, be like those in the know and track down the nearest food trucks on Twitter. #3 Don't Jaywalk The city is notorious for its jaywalking tickets, and even celebs aren’t impervious to it. Just follow the crosswalk signals and be vigilant. #4 Don't take a Hollywood star home tour Unless you're into well manicured lawns or tall gates, a lot of celebrities don’t even live in Hollywood or Beverly Hills. You're more likely to see a celeb in one of the locally owned restaurants or independent shops. #5 Don't walk to the Hollywood Sign Even after you've made the climb, you won't get within 20 feet of the sign because of security and preservation measures. Instead: See it from further away. One of the best spots to view the sign can be found along Beachwood Canyon Drive. #6 Don't go to the sunset strip during the day During the day, the Sunset Strip is just another line of cafes and shops. It’s after the "sun sets" that it comes alive! #7 Don't bother with Venice Beach Boardwalk Yes it's known mostly for its interesting inhabitants who stroll the boardwalk along Ocean Front Walk but it's also usually very crowded, especially on weekends, where you’ll have to move with the speed of the crowd in order to walk down the Venice Beach Boardwalk. #8 Don't go to Hollywood and Highland" It's like the times square of L.A., and therefore a huge tourist trap! Everyone will try to sell you something on the street, and even Spiderman will ask for money to take a photo with him.

LOS ANGELES Top Places to Visit

04:35
In this video we show you a few of our favorite places in Los Angeles, California. Our first stop was The Griffith Observatory, which is a very popular place to go take a hike or just take in the spectacular views. Admission is free!! We loved the hike to see the Hollywood sign (it's a work out). You can't get too close to the sign anymore, but you can still get great pictures from a distance. The Hollywood sign is HUGE! Next stop was Skyspace, this was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We recommend going on the fun filled slide, the views are amazing. Fratelli was a great restaurant to have lunch after a day of activities. There food is amazing! We highly recommend this place for breakfast lunch or just to get a drink or two. Next stop was The Los Angeles County Modern Arts (LACMA). The white lamps are a must see! Don't forget to take a pic! The Ivy is another great restaurant especially for Sunday brunch. It has a beautiful decor with its colorful roses all around the restaurant. It is located in Melrose. Beverly Hills is a must stop, eat and shop! It has countless designer stores, many coffee shops and restaurants. The Graystone Mansion is located in Beverly Hills residential. This Mansion have been in numerous movies, tv shows, and music videos. It has spectacular gardens and views of the city. Admission is free!!! We hope you enjoy this video. Thanks for watching! There are SO many things to do and see in California, partially because its got it all... mountains, deserts, the ocean, surf towns, big cities, beautiful parks, and a very eclectic mix of people. We highly recommend spending some time in the lesser known places in Cali to really get a full idea of the kinds of adventures you can create, but also you have to see the iconic touristy stuff like the Hollywood sign, Santa Monica blvd, and hit the big National Parks like Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon. Hollywood Must See Places

19:34
It's weekend again and we decided to go visit the Hollywood area by taking the train from my place outside of Los Angeles. Taking a train ride will excite everyone to see the different cities on your way to downtown without worrying about the hazzle and buzzle of the freeway traffic and the weekend train pass is really affordable. So enjoy a brief view of our weekend trip of the city . From our trip you'll see how convenient to roam the different cities by the train ride. On our way to LA you will pass the famous Union Station in Downtown and will see the rustic interior of the building with the different classic interior of the building and the awesome view of Downtown Los Angeles is a bonus packed for the viewing public. Too much video files i'd gathered but not enough time to publish everything that why decided to split to multiple sequel for faster viewing.
Los Angeles, California Travel Guide - Must-See Attractions

http://bookinghunter.com Nicknamed the City of Angels, Los Angeles is a leading world centaer of business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, and education. The most important places to visit in Los Angeles are: Los Angeles Downtown (although Los Angeles attractions are spread over a large area, the city is architecturally diverse Downtown is a thriving urban center), Venice Beach (experience the colorful lifestyle of the West Coast on the Venice Beach, Boardwalk. Here, you will find a festive atmosphere, eclectic entertainers and funky shops), Santa Monica Pier (by the scene at Santa Monica Beach, is the famous Pier with a perennial carnival like setting. Draws locals, as well as visitors from around the world), Hollywood (everyone knows about Hollywood and you have got to visit the Hollywood sign, when in Los Angeles), Hollywood Walk of Fame (Hollywood celebrates it's contribution to entertainment through these celebrity stars), Griffith Observatory (located in Griffith Park on Mt. Hollywood, this great public observatory has state of the art facilities and excellent views of Los Angeles), Rodeo Drive (if you are a shopping buff, you will love Rodeo Drive. A glamorous shopping District, Rodeo Drive is full of upscale and fashionable shops), Beverly Hills (take a walk around, you might even spot a celebrity in this neighborhood). If you want to save time and money, the most important Los Angeles travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available. Hollywood Boulevard Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go

08:08
10 things you must know before you travel to Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. First off, Hollywood Boulevard is definitely not as nice as you think it is. The idealized Hollywood in your head is most certainly better than the real Hollywood. You've seen it on TV for the Oscars, and it's all decked out and amazing. The real Hollywood blvd is filled with shady businesses, crumby souvenir stands, and panhandling “entertainers” who will attempt to shake you down for a photo with them. Hollywood is also huge! There are so many hidden gems in the city, but most of what you’ll find in this immediate location is catered to tourists. Watch more of Ernest on the Trip Astute channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/TripAstute Watch our "10 Things to Do in Hollywood" here: https://youtu.be/_kD0SL9JqZE 2. Parking: Street Parking (Meter Prices -- but watch out!) Expensive Pay Parking Lots My favorite: garage at Hollywood & Highland, which is a mall that includes Chinese and Dolby Theaters. With validation (available with a purchase at shops in the mall), you get 2 hours for $2 or 4 hours for $2 with validation from the Chinese Theater. Daily max of $17 US Highway 101 provides the easiest access via the Highland Avenue exit south. This is also a great place to have a quick meal. There are several restaurants hidden away in this area where you can get a fast and affordable meal away from some of the more touristy restaurants on the main street. 3. Subway Yes, Los Angeles has a subway, and it’s one of the best ways to get to Hollywood, the LA Metro Red Line has 3 stops along Hollywood boulevard. And it’s cheap, only $1.75 per ride, any distance! Hollywood & Western, Hollywood & Vine Hollywood & Highland (Which is the best stop to start at) And it also stops at Universal Studios Hollywood, which isn’t in Hollywood at all! 4. Photos with Street Performers They aren’t there out of the kindness of their hearts, if you take a picture with them, or of them, they’ll expect some money. And sometimes be forceful about it. I’m not telling you not to take a picture with them… just know it’s going to cost you. 5. Food It all is pretty mediocre on Hollywood boulevard, and overpriced. If you want “cheap”, best options are the food court at the top of Hollywood and Highland mall, I like Poknomitry, or there’s an In-N-Out burger a block over on Sunset. If you want better sit-down eats, get off Hollywood blvd, head over to West Hollywood. 6. Making Movies They don’t make them here anymore… most movie making in LA happens in Burbank, which is North of Hollywood. If you are looking for the “movie studio” experience, check out the Warner Brothers Studio Tour, and Paramount Pictures Studio Tour, or Universal Studios Hollywood theme park for their Studio Tour. None of these are near Hollywood boulevard. You can take the subway to Universal Studios Hollywood though. If you want to take a tour of the Dolby Theatre, head to their box office when you first arrive on Hollywood Boulevard, then organize the rest of your day around your scheduled tour time. 7.The Sign: In 1923, an investor by the name of Harry Chandler had the letters ‘Hollywoodland’ constructed to advertise a new real estate development. In 1949, the word ‘land’ was removed from the sign and it became an advertisement for the whole town rather than just one neighbourhood. 8. The stars: It's called the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and celebrities can earn stars in 5 categories. 9. Celebrities have to pay for their star 10. Celebrities can earn multiple stars CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/yellowwsub You might enjoy watching some of these other videos: Yellow Productions on Social Media: FACEBOOK: https://facebook.com/YellowProductionsTravel INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/yellowwproductions/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/chrisraney GOOGLE+: https://google.com/+yellowwproductions Check out my blog: http://yelloww.net My video gear: Sony FDR-AX53 4K Handycam: http://amzn.to/2hYePVc Sony ECMW1M Wireless Microphone: http://amzn.to/2gQKDGG GoPro Fusion 360 Camera: https://amzn.to/2NINKSz LensPen Lens Cleaner: http://amzn.to/2hPYui1 Pacsafe LS250 Anti-theft Shoulder Bag: http://amzn.to/2h0YCNt Manfroto Pixi Mini Tripod: http://amzn.to/2ilJms6 Manfrotto Twist Grip Clamp: http://amzn.to/2hYEnyN

Los Angeles Travel Tips: 13 Things to Know Before You Go to LA

15:45
Things you need to know before you travel to Los Angeles California. LA is HUGE. You won't be able to see all of LA, unless you're staying for a very very long time. Los Angeles doesn't have a "center" and Downtown LA is not very exciting. LA is comprised of multiple cities Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Malibu. Get a rental car - You'll need it to see most tourist attractions in Los Angeles. 2. Traffic - LA has traffic everywhere, all the time. All day, every day. Yes, even at 1am on a weekend. Deal with it. - The freeways have names -- it's not I-405 -- it's "THE 405" 3. Public Transit - LA has a subway! - But it probably doesn't go where you want! Especially the beach! 4. Parking - Is often Valet - and Costs money everywhere - Except when you're parking on the freeway :) - Pay attention to street signs (confusing times and days) 5. Navigation - Know where you're going and take the correct exit - Take the wrong exit and you might end up in some place really sketchy - Lots of little cities, the street numbering changes in different cities 6. Weather - LA is not always sunny and warm - It gets cold -- particularly at night - Shorts in the day, but pants and a jacket at night - And the ocean water is cold too... 70 degrees is as warm as it gets - Inland can be 30 degrees warmer than the beach - Lots of sunscreen - Sunglasses - It's dry -- moisturizer 7. LA is unlike the rest of California - It can feel like a different country, or at least a different state - Venice Beach in particular 8. Hollywood is in the neighborhood called "Hollywood" - West Hollywood is in front of the Hollywood sign (and a different city) with Fancy homes - East Hollywood doesn't have much - North Hollywood over the mountain is a suburb of LA - Oh by the way -- no actors in Hollywood - And if you go see a 30 minute sitcom taping it will take 4+ hours 9. The Valley - Means San Fernando Valley - Burbank, Studio City, North Hollywood, Van Nuys 10. LA's most well known attractions are also some of the most rundown - Hollywood Boulevard or is Tijuana? - Venice Beach, oh my lord 11. LA is casual - Flip flops and shorts are OK except in the most dressy establishments 12. Bring your own shopping bag - Supermarkets charge 10 cents for shopping bags in California 13. Mexican Food in LA is awesome - Get some fish tacos! - And visit King Taco! Places to see in ( Hollywood - USA )

01:36
Places to see in ( Hollywood - USA ) Hollywood is a city on Florida's east coast, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Palm-dotted Hollywood Beach is backed by the long Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. ArtsPark at Young Circle features an outdoor amphitheater and a striking fountain. Nearby, the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood offers contemporary exhibitions and performances. The Anne Kolb Nature Center is a reserve with mangrove trails and an aquarium. Hollywood is a coastal city in Florida, USA that is located between the cities of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. With a population of 146,000 people, Hollywood, Florida is a relatively small city that retains an old laid-back Florida feel to it compared to the larger cities in the area. Hollywood can be divided into four different areas. The first would be Hollywood Beach along the Atlantic Ocean, where you will find most of the action. A short ways inland is Art Deco downtown Hollywood, filled with restaurants, shops, a park, and California essence housing. From here on out there is not much to see as residual housing and small business occupies the area. When you finally get to the edge of town by the Florida Turnpike, you will find a few hotels, casinos and other attractions here along an Indian reservation owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida who have lived in the area since the 18th century. Hollywood is in southeastern Broward County, and includes about 5 to 6 miles (8.0 to 9.7 km) of Atlantic Ocean beach, interrupted briefly by a portion deeded to Dania Beach. It is bounded by these municipalities: To the north: Fort Lauderdale Dania Beach To the northwest: Davie Cooper City To the west: Pembroke Pines To the southwest: Miramar To the south: West Park Pembroke Park Hallandale Beach A lot to see in Hollywood Florida such as : Oleta River State Park Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino Hollywood Beach Broadwalk Flamingo Gardens Dr. Von D. A documentary film on some of the most haunted hotels in Hollywood California. Guests at these hotels have seen sightings of Marilyn Monroe's ghost as well as Montgomery Clift's ghost. Also the ghost of John Belushi and Rudolph Valentino. These are the ghost stories based on witnesses. These hotels are located in Los Angeles, California. These haunted hotels are some of the most haunted places in America. This documentary also features rare footages of Marilyn Monroe, Montgomery Clift and Rudolph Valentino. If you're a fan of Halloween or spooky places, these are some of the best places to visit and see for yourself. The hotels I talk about are: The Roosevelt Hotel The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard) has not just one, but two celebrity ghosts! Montgomery Clift, stayed at the hotel for three months while rehearsing his role in the 1953 movie "From Here to Eternity." His ghost now allegedly haunts room #928 of the 9th floor of the hotel, playing a trumpet, and pacing the hallways while reciting his old lines. At the same historic Roosevelt Hotel, the ghost of Marilyn Monroe has supposedly been seen several times in a full-length mirror, which was originally located in her poolside Suite 1200, where Marilyn often stayed. The mirror in which her image supposedly appears is now located next to the elevator on the lower level. This hip, upscale hotel dating to 1927 sits along the Hollywood Walk of Fame and across the street from the TCL Chinese Theatre. Chic, modern rooms and suites (some named after famous former residents such as Marilyn Monroe) come with premium bedding, flat-screen TVs, designer toiletries and WiFi (fee). Upgrades offer garden or pool views, hardwood floors and/or private balconies. Room service is available 24/7. Amenities include a fitness center and an outdoor pool with a buzzy bar scene. There's also an exclusive cocktail lounge, a game parlor with 2 vintage bowling lanes, a celebrity-haunt nightclub and a 24-hour burger joint. The Knickerbocker Hotel The Hollywood Knickerbocker Apartments, formerly the Knickerbocker Hotel, is a retirement home located at 1714 Ivar Avenue in Los Angeles, California. Designed by architect E.M. Frasier in Spanish Colonial Revival style, the historic hotel opened in June 1929. It catered to the region's nascent film industry, and is the site for some of Hollywood’s most famous dramatic moments. On Halloween 1936, Harry Houdini's widow held her tenth séance to contact the magician on the roof of the hotel. On January 13, 1943, Frances Farmer was arrested in her room at the hotel after failing to visit her probation officer when scheduled. On July 23, 1948, filmmaker D. W. Griffith died of a cerebral hemorrhage on the way to a Hollywood hospital, after being discovered unconscious in the lobby of the hotel. D.W. Griffith, Irene Gibbons, Rudolph Valentino and Marilyn Monroe haunt this old hotel. This is the location of the seance for magician Harry Houdini. Chateau Marmont Hotel Chateau Marmont is a hotel located at 8221 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. The hotel was designed by famed architect William Douglas Lee and completed in 1929. It was modeled loosely after the Château d'Amboise, a royal retreat in France's Loire Valley. The hotel has 63 rooms and suites. Throughout the years, Chateau Marmont has gained recognition. Director Sofia Coppola shot her film Somewhere at the hotel in 2010. James Franco created a grand scale replica of the Chateau Marmont for his Rebel Without a Cause exhibit at MOCA in 2012. The opening scene of the indie neo-noir film The Canyons was shot at the Bar Marmont. The hotel was also a location for Oliver Stone's The Doors. Singer Lana Del Rey alludes to the hotel in her song "Off To The Races" from her album Born to Die. It is also the office of fictional paparazzi Patrick Immleman in the Panel Syndicate web comic The Private Eye. Jim Morrison took up a short term residency in 1970. Billy Wilder, Hunter S. Thompson, Annie Leibovitz, Dorothy Parker, Bruce Weber, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tim Burton, Jay McInerney, Terry Richardson, Death Grips and Ville Valo, among others, have also produced work from within the hotel's walls. John Belushi died of a drug overdose in Bungalow 3 on March 5, 1982, and still haunts this room.

Watch more How to Visit Los Angeles videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/513651-Visiting-the-Hollywood-Walk-of-Fame-LA-Travel Planning a trip to Los Angeles? A visit to the famous Southern Californian city wouldn't be complete with a stop at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Learn all about it in this travel video. Los Angeles is the heart of the entertainment industry, and there’s no better proof of that than the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The walk stretches out for blocks on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street, with stars made of brass and terrazzo set into the concrete. On each star is the name of someone who has made a great contribution to the entertainment industry--– actors, musicians, directors, producers, and more. There are even some fictional characters, like Bugs Bunny. Since construction started in 1960, well over 2000 stars have been added to the Walk, and more are added each year. A committee of industry experts meets yearly to choose just a few of the best from the the hundreds of applications for new stars. It’s truly a tribute to Hollywood’s best, stretching across generations and genres from Carol Burnett to Houdini to Michael Jackson. At least a few of your favorites are sure to be on the Walk, and you can look up the exact addresses of their stars on the Walk of Fame’s website, so you won’t have any trouble finding them. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is free and open to the public 24/7, so there’s no reason not to visit. Don’t skip one of LA’s most famous attractions!

How to get to the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles (Best way to see it )

03:19
Lauris Reiniks takes you up to the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles showing the way how to get there and sharing some useful advice. The best way to see the Hollywood Sign is to drive up Beachwood Drive (north of Hollywood Boulevard). Keep left at a fork intersection and then go all the way up to Sunset Ranch. On you way to the sign be polite, don't be too loud and don't drive too fast. That is a residential neighborhood and official road signs say that there's no access to the Hollywood sign, but there is... Make sure to go there in the morning or early afternoon if you wanna have good pictures. Just be respectful to the neighborhood and local people.
