http://www.facebook.com/coachdwyer We spent our honeymoon at Secret's Capri in the Mayan Riviera Mexico in 2004. 10 years later, we wanted to return to the area and booked the Honeymoon Suite at Secret's Maroma Beach Resort in the Mayan Riviera.
We had the best room and location as it was a 2 room suite overlooking the ocean. The concierge was fantastic. The food was awesome for breakfast. We didn't use the pool's but spent each day on the beach front. The service was frequent and quick.
Each day we worked out in the gym. Some days it was busy. But it was great accommodations and we were able to get a great workout each day.
One day we missed breakfast as that ends at 11am. We were unable to order room service breakfast either after that time.
Suggest adding on to your breakfast in bed as it comes like a continental breakfast. We were made aware of this when we checked in, so added on.
The other great aspect of the honeymoon suite with preferred service was the private building check in and out. We didn't have to go to the main hotel lobby to wait or check in. We were privately shuttled and was able to get into our room immediately.
We schedule spa services and as a preferred guest, we were able to use the hydrotherapy anytime we wanted.
We went 1 day and followed their system of taking a shower, spend 10 minutes in the sauna, shower, spend 5 minutes in the steam room, shower, jump in the cold pool, jump in the hot pool, then go into the normal temperature with the waiter fall and jet pressure for massages.
That part was fantastic and we would love to get that our own.
We additionally used the bubbler and full body massage systems. The final part of the therapy was walking on rocks to massage the feet.
They also have fish therapy in which we scheduled a service.
By the final day, we actually cancelled our spa services as the day was fantastic and we didn't want to miss our final day on the beach.
We didn't use the nightly entertainment or any of the water sports.
We honestly spent each day under no obligations or schedules.
