All Strike Non Telegraphic Drill
AllStrike from Quest ► https://goo.gl/e9UKEE This is the non telegraphic drill. With a self defense partner, you can practice and eventually improve your striking by doing this useful drill. Basically, you learn to not be telegraphic prior to striking your opponent. In other words, you don't show any movements that can allow your attacker to know where and when you will strike him. You need to maintain that non-telegraphic aspect to your strike so that you can have the element of surprise. In the beginning, you can practice your palm strikes against the AllStrike (from Quest) while your self defense partner tries to move it away from you. You practice and improve your hand-eye coordination this way. Your partner's job is to look at your body language and see if your strike is telegraphed. He can do so by moving out of the way fast enough so that the striker misses the target. On the striking side, you need to make the least amount of movement prior to launching your strike. If your shoulder, hip, leg, etc. moves prior to your strike and your opponent sees that, you might not manage to get in a good strike because your attacker will most likely move out of the way. You need be relaxed and strike fast without your opponent noticing its coming. You cannot be telegraphic prior to striking, and yet you need to be aware of everything happening around you. If you're too far away, avoid elbows because they won't be as powerful and your opponent can move out of the way easily. Focus more on palm strikes and finger jabs, they do the job right. While doing all of this, you must not forget to maintain a passive stance. This is an important drill to practice. We hope you enjoyed this portion of our self defense videos! What is TELEGRAPHIC SPEECH? What does TELEGRAPHIC SPEECH mean? TELEGRAPHIC SPEECH meaning - TELEGRAPHIC SPEECH definition - TELEGRAPHIC SPEECH explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Telegraphic speech, according to linguistics and psychology, is speech during the two-word stage of language acquisition in children, which is laconic and efficient. The name derives from the fact that someone sending a telegram was generally charged by the word. To save money, people typically wrote their telegrams in a very compressed style, without conjunctions or articles. As children develop language, they speak similarly: when a child says "Daddy here", it is understood that the child means "Daddy is here", omitting the copula. The words dropped in this style of speech are closed class or function words. In the field of psychology, telegraphic speech is defined as a form of communication consisting of simple two-word long sentences often composed of a noun and a verb that adhere to the grammatical standards of the culture's language. For example, an English-speaking child would say "Give cupcake" to express that they would like a cupcake rather than "Cupcake give", as a Turkish- or Japanese-speaking child would. Researchers have noted that this period of language acquisition occurs some time between the ages of 18–36 months and is present not just in English-speaking cultures, but can be found worldwide. In adults, regression to telegraphic speech may indicate a neurological problem such as multiple sclerosis. Telegraphic speech is also common in non-fluent aphasia (Broca's aphasia), which is caused by a stroke damaging the posterior-inferior frontal lobe. It is also a potential symptom of schizophrenia, as a manifestation of manneristic speech.

How to End a Fight in Seconds
► https://www.codereddefense.com/newsletter ► https://www.codereddefense.com/products/striking-fundamentals If you're faced with a larger attacker, the importance of going pre-emptive is huge. If you want to take out a bigger attacker, you need to strike first in a fight. You want to put as many odds into your favor as possible. It might be considered a cheap shot by some, but honestly would you rather wait and be gravely injured before defending yourself? It's best to just go pre-emptive and strike first. First though, you want to try and verbally diffuse the situation. If you've done everything you can and nothing seems to be working, then you strike back and defend yourself physically. One of the most important strikes is the head butt. If you're talking to your attacker, or if he lowers his head to speak down at you, you head butt him as quickly and strongly as possible. Another possible hit to commit is a double palm strike. One hand will come forward, another will come on top and then you can snap the neck by moving towards your opponent. You must drive that power that is in your palms forward and strike towards the attacker's neck, creating a lot of damage into the head area. To continue, another strike which comes to use in this type of situation is a hammer fist. If your opponent is coming at you and you are talking to him trying to distract him, you can bring your hands up and then perform a hammer fist towards the facial area, particularly the nose. One last possible self-defense move you can perform is an elbow strike at your opponent, right through the center line, which is a very devastating blow because it's non-telegraphic, coming straight through the middle. These are some of the basics and best ways to strike back against your attacker and end a fight as quickly as possible. How to Pronounce Telegraph
Learn how to say Telegraph with Japanese accent. Telegraph (teregurafu): In Japanese, it can be written as テレグラフ . "Telegraphy (from Greek: tele τῆλε "at a distance", and graphein γράφειν "to write") is the long distance transmission of textual/symbolic (as opposed to verbal or audio) messages without the physical exchange of an object bearing the message. Thus semaphore is a method of telegraphy whereas pigeon post is not. Telegraphy requires that the method used for encoding the message be known to both sender and receiver. Such methods are designed according to the limits of the signalling medium used. The use of smoke signals, beacons, reflected light signals, and flag semaphore signals are early examples. In the 19th century, the harnessing of electricity brought about the means to transmit signals via electrical telegraph. The advent of radio in the early 1900s brought about radiotelegraphy and other forms of wireless telegraphy. In the Internet age, telegraphic means developed greatly in sophistication and ease of use, with natural language interfaces that hide the underlying code, allowing such technologies as electronic mail and instant messaging." - from Wikipedia For more pronunciation of Japanese words, please check: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4JALsptyAzrbc1xVMxjj2QA1jgYAwrDV Or how Foreign Words are pronunced in Japan, please check: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4JALsptyAzrqkXyiz34ldUlYEYKQwkRW For more playlist, please check below: https://www.youtube.com/user/JapaneseEng101/playlists

Michael Bierut: The primitive power of logos
The award-winning graphic designer decodes why the simple shapes of a logo can have such great impact . “Design can be a lonely thing,” says Michael Bierut in the second part of this exclusive Design Indaba interview. “As you acquire that skill [in design] you are actually making yourself less normal than regular people.” Designers are sensitised to things other people don’t even notice, he says – the way the curves of a typeface echo each other, for example, or the subtle changes in a logo. Though the work of the designer is social because it requires the user to make sense of it, there is an element of solitude to the design process. “Because you are always in your head,” says Beirut, “and you don’t know what effect it’s going to have until you do it.” We tend to fixate on the power of logos in today’s hyper-aware consumer culture, which Bierut is quick to disarm. “I don’t want to overemphasise logos in the world. I think that if you act with intelligence and integrity and consistency you’ll develop a brand. Whether you are a person or a non-profit, a small organisation or a giant corporation.” What he does think of as particularly interesting about logos however, is the meaning that gets instilled in them over the course of their usage. “What’s fun about logo design, what makes it so interesting, why it holds so much power for all of us is that there is something very primitive about it,” he says. “Many of them are such simple marks. They are not much further evolved than hieroglyphics, or marks on cave walls from millions of years ago.” What happens with a logo, explains Bierut, takes place only partly in the symbol; the rest we do with our minds as we connect the symbol to all the associations we have with what it means. “What’s interesting, particularly about that kind of telegraphic communication is that it it is inherently participatory.” It is this interactive and social quality of design work that lends the profession what Bierut can only describe as “a kind of magic”. In Part 1 of this interview Michael Bierut talks about the process of writing his new book, How to: Use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, and (every once in a while) change the world, in which he looks back on his life and career in a series of amusing and interesting How to’s.

World's Last Telegram Message to Be Sent
Mid-July will mark the end of the telegram's impressive 144-year career as an active means of communication. The final telegraph will be sent from somewhere in India. Mid-July will mark the end of the telegram's impressive 160 plus years as an active means of communication. The final telegraph will be sent from somewhere in India. Western Union in the United States abandoned the technology 7 years ago. The Indian telecom company BSNL has decided it's no longer financially viable to offer the service as daily transmissions only number about 5 thousand. The annual losses are estimated at 23 million dollars. The company's general manager also acknowledges that with the capabilities of smartphones, the telegraph has become redundant. In the telegraph's golden age in India -- the mid 1980's -- approximately 60 million messages were sent and received each year. Then, there were 45 thousand offices, compared to the 75 that exist today. The first telegraph message was sent from Washington, D.C. in 1844 and the technology went on to revolutionize long-distance communications. The desire to send quick messages over long distances has been pursued by many civilizations. The Chinese, Ancient Egyptians, and Greeks enlisted smoke signals and drum beats. Semaphore, the telegraph's predecessor, became all the rage in the late 18th century.

AllStrike from Quest (Product Review)
AllStrike from Quest ► http://amzn.to/1JfDhoA This interesting self defense training tool has been quite enjoyable to work with. It's basically like a focus pad, except it's just a person's head. It's great for self defense training because you can see the nose, the eyes, the mouth, etc. and learn how to strike in these areas of the face. The hole at the back of the dummy's head is for putting your hand inside to hold it up for striking drills. It's extremely comfortable, the handle inside is quite sturdy and your hand fits in quite nicely. Also, there is an excellent grip to it. You can enjoy this more than any focus mitt because unlike the mitt, you are able to see all the facial features on the dummy's face and you can improve on your striking skills in these areas. Also, it's not heavy at all; in fact, the material is so light that you can carry it with ease. While your training partner holds the head up, you can work on your double palm strikes, your elbow strikes, etc. on particular features of the face, such as the eyes. Your self defense partner that is holding it could even move around with it so that you are able to practice your hand-eye coordination skills. You can improve drastically by doing this. Another thing, you can bring the training tool up or down, as if you are fighting a person taller or shorter than you. This could help you practice your footwork skills and striking techniques… If ever you come across a situation like that, you will be prepared. Having said all of this, it's a great piece of self defense equipment to train with. Unlike the focus pad, you can really focus on precise striking and improve by doing so! We really recommend this product, its fantastic! How to go to equestrian - the intro
You are welcome for the intro of my new channel “HOW TO GO TO EQUESTRIAN” Hi wonderful everybody, it’s Coralie Tinguely and you are listening to my channel “How to go to EQUESTRIAN” and more podcasts produced by Coco-Tinguely.com That’s me Coco Tinguely. I want to share with you my journey from an old and profound love for horses with a level of equestrian knowledge next to zero to a step by step discovery of how to live a good and happy equestrian life on your own. After approximately 3 decades of a sleeping love for horses I suddenly remembered me how my eyes widely smile by thinking about horses or by seeing them. For two weeks I started to look for horses’ pictures online and I quickly discovered that plenty of horses are offered to buy. There were completely different prices from for free to several thousands till even millions. I found a picture of a baby foal. He was 2 weeks young and I felt a strong attraction with him. He was like a magnet. I knew I had to move to him. I called the breeder and I finally met this baby foal at the same day. I will probably make another video about them. For the story at the time when the breeder gave me a brush and I started kindly to brush this baby foal, my heart began to dance with a pure joy. Because this joy is my engine I will focus my step by step discoveries for this channel “how to go to equestrian” on that joy. I hope you will enjoy too. English is my third language. I speak French and German too, well enough to communicate, to make errors and to create new words in each of them. Please apologize this creativity in advance. It will probably happen that videos will be recorded interchangeably in one of these three languages. That means for you, dear audience, that you can let me your comments, questions and suggestions in your favourite one. Please, I love the telegraphic style, short and focussed on the essence of the message you have to share. Let me know if you are now, or if you were once, remembering this same equestrian love, If you started to live it and perhaps like me there was on old last riding time before a long break, and if now could be the right time to restart or to go for an equestrian lifestyle. I hope to inspire you to stand up for your equestrian dreams and I will enjoy your telegraphic feedbacks. You have been listening to “how to go to equestrian” and more podcasts produced by Coco-Tinguely.com. That’s me Coco Tinguely. Thank you for your attention and have a joyful and galloping day. How Do Babies Build Sentences? The Stages of Child Syntax
What kinds of sentences do we hear from babies and toddlers? How much grammar can we find in their language use? In this week's episode, we take a look at child syntactic stages: what characteristics kids display as they progress from one to two to many words, whether their grammars are similar to those of adults, and how their linguistic interpretation may tell us more than just their speech. This is Topic #85! This week's tag language: Maltese! Telegraph Sounder & Box Relay - American Morse Code
A sample of news copy in American Morse Code at 27-words per minute via a J. H. Bunnell Box Relay and Western Union Sounder. While there are several examples of telegraph sounders on "You Tube, most show the International (Continental) Code in use and the typical "CQ" common to Amateur Radio. In this demonstration, one can hear the American Morse Code, which was used in North America for railroad and commercial telegraphy. During the first part of the video, one hears Morse via the Box Relay only. During the second part, both local sounder and relay are operating. Different circuits are selectable via the Western Electric "jack box," which has been modified to include a loop supply and interface circuit for operation via the Morse KOB system (www.morsekob.org). Also, for those unfamiliar with telegraph instruments, it should be noted that the wooden "reflector" in which the local sounder is installed is properly referred to as a "resonator." For more information on telegraphy, please visit the Morse Telegraph Club (MTC) web page at: www.morsetelegraphclub.org. MTC is an association of telegraphers and individuals with an interest in promoting the history and traditions of Morse Telegraphy.

Interview with Steven Pinker
We're really excited to have gotten to interview Steven Pinker recently! Dr. Pinker is a professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard, and a best-selling author whose books, including The Language Instinct, the Stuff of Thought, and the Sense of Style, help to broaden knowledge about linguistics, language, and cognitive psychology. We got to ask him about a lot of great topics, including: - the role of social media in promoting science - the unifying themes under all of his work - the ongoing resistance to the idea that language is innate - the role of emoticons and emoji in discourse - the videos he watches on YouTube - three questions from our followers on machine learning, advice for starting out in research, and social media's influence on language And much more! We even have an extra video this week, posted Thursday, that has a book recommendation and news about Dr. Pinker's next book. Hope you all enjoy it! i read a lot of books and put my energy into it with the devotion of a survivor.. you wouldn't want to learn by getting the s*** beat out of you... but it has happened in the past and this is more so, an interpretive dance routine to a thrashing rhythym... im not a fighter and im not a mean person... this is just a tribute to a band that doesn't really play anymore... but i was asked to do this by one of the band members and i felt touched so i did it.. there are many books that teach these moves... i did not develop the style... it developed me but that's besides the point.. the point is if you are impressed or jealous and you would like a challenge then you can only push yourself.. im not looking to call anyone out and if you know anything about martial arts you should know that there is no opponent.. only the self and the challenges of life.. push your personal limits.. shatter the image of ego and enjoy your life... dont do things for the wrong reason.. humanity is a rare find in the mind of the individual... animalism is healthy but it is meant for survival... i mean to inform.. not to threaten.. understand this and you will succeed in your personal development.. i have nothing to offer you other than these words of enlightenment... and with that said, i wish you the best of luck on your path... i pour my own drinks and prepare my own meals.. because i have no trust for my environment... there are many evils which do not possess my mind or soul... anything that can be destroyed by the truth should be.. plus, weapons evolve and you should stay up to date.. i know i will.. every action requires a certain amount of proficiency and understanding... find yourself.. learn from your mistakes and be a humble person.. this is how you avoid persecution for being an individual... the good is eventually rewarded and evil will be punished by whomever it happens to present as the hero.. these archetypes will always show up throughout the story of mankind... i did not create this.. if you think that you are important or more important than others, you are sadly mistaken and probably insane.. it's not my fault that stupid people breed nor is it my fault to want to love and posses understanding.. power without percetion is of no real value.. it creates blind beasts.. i am not the best there is either.. i know many people who could defeat me with ease and i respect them.. i do not fear them for the love in my heart is true.. this is the art of no art... and devastating anothers life is nothing to be proud of..

Places to see in ( Valencia - Spain ) Central Post Office - Edificio de Correos y Telegrafos
Places to see in ( Valencia - Spain ) Central Post Office - Edificio de Correos y Telegrafos The Post Office Building or Post and Telegraph Palace of Valencia is a building located in the Town Hall Square . It was built between 1915 and 1922 and inaugurated in 1923, where the old fishermen's neighborhood was in part, with Las Barcas Street as a witness. Edificio de Correos y Telegrafos was subsidized by the Maura government for the modernization of postal services in Spain. Work of the architect zaragozano Miguel Angel Navarro , is of eclectic style dominant in the official architecture. Like the vast majority of Post Office buildings of the time, the monumentality of the building is a symbol of the progress of postal and telegraphic communications in the early decades of the 20th century. Although the main facade appears symmetrical, it is an irregularly shaped building. The sculptures of the tympanum of the arch of the main façade represent the five continents and those of the crowns that flank the clock show trios of angels bringing letters and telegraphic symbols, along with a ship and a train locomotive, set that makes an allegory of communications by land and sea. To crown the building there is a metal tower; there is a spiral staircase to access a lookout. In the interior, an oval room reproduces the same style of the facade with columns of Ionic style. The center is crowned by an artistic glasswork designed by the Mauméjean brothers, formed by 370 panels containing the shields of the 48 provinces of Spain , and in the center, made of brass , is theshield of the city of Valencia symbolizing the company Correos y Telégrafos.
