How does RADAR work? | James May Q&A | Head Squeeze

05:44
How does RADAR work? It's a bit like shouting very loudly at a cliff and waiting for the echo to come back to you. Whether you use rude words or not is completely up to you. RADAR is emitting a sound wave and waiting for the echo to come back to you. By timing the returning echo you can work out where exactly another object is. The really interesting thing about radar is if you use multiple angled receivers you can work out the position and height of a target. This technology was essential in winning the Battle of Britain in 1940. But that was 1940, what about radar now? Is it as defunct as the 3 ½ inch floppy disk? Well, no actually. Radar is still pretty important in the military but the technology is a lot more advanced. In fact each time you connect to a sat nav to figure out where you are, you are using the network of satellites that calculate your position using the same principles of radar. Mechanical Principles (1930) by Ralph Steiner [4min selection]

04:09
This is my favorite 4min selection of a larger work by Ralph Steiner. The original was silent, and the DVD had it set to classical music. I have swapped the audio for an electronica/industrial track by 3 Liquid Hz - Little Boy. Favorite movements: @ 1:16 - counter mechanism @ 2:55 - normal gears, but cut to engage on diagonals @ 3:37 - SQUARE GEARS! @ 3:41 - variable speed transfer @ 3:46 - rotary to linear action with a 4 tooth cog Several users have commented that these gears may be on display at The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL.

What is Ammeter | Ammeter Circuit | Working Principle & Types of Ammeter | Physics concepts

02:48
What is Ammeter Ammeter circuit working principle of ammeter types of ammeter Physics concepts. An ammeter (from Ampere Meter) is a measuring instrument used to measure the current in a circuit. Electric currents are measured in amperes (A), hence the name. Instruments used to measure smaller currents, in the milliampere or microampere range, are designated as milliammeters or microammeters. In order for an ammeter to measure a device’s current, it must be connected in series to that device. This is necessary because objects in series experience the same current. They must not be connected to a voltage source — ammeters are designed to work under a minimal burden, (which refers to the voltage drop across the ammeter, typically a small fraction of a volt). The main principle of ammeter is that it must have a very low resistance and also inductive reactance. Depending on the constructing principle, there are many types of ammeter we get, they are mainly – Permanent Magnet Moving Coil(PMMC) ammeter. Moving Iron(MI) Ammeter. Electrodynamometer type Ammeter. Rectifier type Ammeter. Depending on this types of measurement we do, we have- DC Ammeter. AC Ammeter. ....... Our Mantra: Information is Opportunity. ✈✈ Bernoulli's Principle - Easiest Way Explained ✈✈ ☹ ☹

05:35
Wikipedia Info : The fluid dynamics principle states Bernoulli that the increase in fluid velocity occurs simultaneously with a pressure drop or reduction of potential energy as the fluid. [1] [2] The principle is named after Daniel Bernoulli, who published it in his book Hydrodynamica in 1738 [3] Bernoulli's principle can be applied to various types of fluid flow, which leads to various forms of Bernoulli's equation; There are various forms of Bernoulli's equation for different types of flow. The simple shape of the Bernoulli equation is valid for incompressible flows (eg most flow of liquids and gases moving at low Mach number). The more advanced form can be applied to compressible flow at higher Mach numbers (see derivations Bernoulli equation). Bernoulli's principle can be derived from the principle of conservation of energy. It notes that in a steady flow, the sum of all forms of energy in the fluid along a streamline is the same at all points on the nozzles. This requires that the sum of the kinetic energy, potential energy and the internal energy remains constant. [2] Thus, increasing the velocity of the fluid - resulting in an increase in both its dynamic pressure and kinetic energy - occurs when the current drop (sum) static pressure potential energy and internal energy. In case that the liquid flows from the reservoir, the sum of all forms of energy is the same for all nozzles since the energy storage per unit volume (the sum of pressure and gravitational potential pM GH) is the same everywhere. [4] Bernoulli's principle can also be derived from Newton's second law. In the case that a small volume of fluid flows horizontally from the region of high pressure to areas of low pressure, then a greater pressure than that behind the front. This gives a net force on the beam accelerates along streamlines. [5], [6], [7] Fluid particles are subject only to the pressure and its own weight. If the fluid flows horizontally along a portion modernize, where the rate increases it can only be because the fluid in this section is shifted from an area of higher pressure to areas of lower pressure; and, it reduces its speed, it can be only because it has moved from the area of lower pressure in the higher pressure. Consequently, within the fluid flows horizontally, which is the highest rate occurs when the pressure is lowest, and the lowest rate occurs when the pressure is higher. What is RFID? How RFID works? RFID Explained in Detail

10:10
In this video, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Technolgy has been explained. So, in this video, what is RFID, what is inside this RFID system, how RFID works, and application of RFID have been explained. What is RFID? RFID is technology which works on radio frequency and it is used for the auto-identification for the different object. The RFID system mainly consists of two parts. 1) RFID Reader or Interrogator 2) RFID Tags In this RFID system, this RFID reader continuously sends radio waves of a particular frequency. If the object, on which this RFID tag is attached is within the range of this radio waves then it sends the feedback back to this RFID reader. And based on this feedback, RFID reader identifies the object. RFID tags: Now, three different kinds of RFID tags are commercially available. 1) Passive tags 2) Active tags 3) Semi-passive tags These passive tags do not have any power supply. They used to get their power from the incoming radio waves from the Readers. While active tags have a power source for their internal circuitries. And for sending the response to the reader also, it uses its own power supply. In the case of semi-passive tags, they have a power supply for internal circuitries, but for sending the response it relies on the radio waves received from the Reader. Operating Frequency: This RFID system is mainly operated in three frequency bands. 1) LF: Low-Frequency band 2) HF: High-Frequency band 3) UHF: Ultra High-Frequency band The exact frequency of operation varies from country to country. Operating Principles: Most of the RFID systems operate on any of this two principles. 1) Load Modulation 2) Backscattered Modulations Applications of RFID: 1. Institutions: Library, Hospitals, Schools, and Colleges 2. Transportation and Logistics 3. Access Control 4. Sports 5. Animal Tracking Timestamps for the different topics in the video is given below: 0:40 What is RFID? 1:56 What is inside this RFID chip? 4:42 Operating Frequencies for the RFID Systems 5:27 Working Principle of RFID Systems This video will be helpful to everyone in understanding the concept of RFID Technology. Alleles in the ABO System i = base (plain donut) IA = encodes A antigens IB = encodes B antigens Allele Combinations ii IAIA or IAi IBIB or IBi IAIB Antigens and Antibodies The antigens you have on your blood cells are recognized by your immune system as SELF antigens If foreign antigens are discovered in your body, antibodies (or immunoglobulins) will be made by B cells of the immune system Antibody Structure Antigen + Antibody = agglutination reaction Agglutination = the clumping of particles Latin: agglutinare meaning 'to glue' Mixing of all blood groups and the result KEY: CANNOT transfuse if foreign antigens are introduced!!! The Rh Antigen Inherited in Mendelian fashion! Medical issue: Rh- mother and Rh+ fetus Good News... Rho(D) Globulin Treatment ("RhoGAM")

Principle and Working of Cyclotron

06:45
Cyclotron- Principle, Construction & Working Cyclotron Cyclotron is a device used to accelerate charged particles to high energies. It was devised by Lawrence Principle Cyclotron works on the principle that a charged particle moving normal to a magnetic field experiences magnetic lorentz force due to which the particle moves in a circular path. Working: When a positive ion of charge q and mass m is emitted from the source, it is accelerated towards the Dee having a negative potential at that instant of time. Due to the normal magnetic field, the ion experiences magnetic lorentz force and moves in a circular path. By the time the ion arrives at the gap between the Dees, the polarity of the Dees gets reversed. Hence the particle is once again accelerated and moves into the other Dee with a greater velocity along a circle of greater radius. Thus the particle moves in a spiral path of increasing radius . The particle with high energy is now allowed to hit the target T.

Democracy, Authoritarian Capitalism, and China: Crash Course World History 230

15:32
In which John Green teaches you about the end of World History, and the end of the world as we know it, kind of. For the last hundred years or so, it seemed that one important ingredient for running an economically successful country was a western-style democratic government. All evidence pointed to the idea that capitalist representative democracies made for the best economic outcomes. It turns out that isn't the only way to succeed. In the last 40 years or so, authoritarian capitalism as it's practiced in places like China and Singapore has been working really, really well. John is going to look at these systems and talk about why they work, and he's even going to make a few predictions about the future. Also, thanks for watching this series. It has been amazingly fun to create, and we appreciate all of you. Citation 1: John Micklethwait & Adrian Woolridge. The Fourth Revolution: The Global Race to Reinvent the State. (Quantum Physics now proves this) We are all governed by a set of Universal Laws, and these laws were created by GOD, to aid us in creating the life we desire. One of these laws is known as the "Law Of Attraction", or the law of "Reaping and Sowing". This law simply states, whatever you give out in Thought, Word, Feeling, and Action is returned to us. Whether the return is negative, or positive, failure or success, is all up to what you give out. Many authors and celebrities such as, Wayne Dyer, Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Steve Harvey, Rhonda Byrne, and many others have testified to this amazing Law Of Attraction. Its time you learn this wonderful secret... No requirement is necessary. A link will be provided for you once you purchase the gig. You can provide your e mail if you like. You can purchase this audio on Fiverr for only $5 here: I will give you my 1hr long affirmation as a Mp3 Download. Everything that we repeatedly say to ourselves out loud or in our thoughts are an affirmation. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a part of our brain that makes words that get repeated over time as part of our identity, positive or negative. Just like sowing seeds in a fruitful garden. When we water and nurture the seeds every day, they will grow (most of them). That´s like repeating an affirmation. If you have a tomato plant seed…you plant that seed…water it (focus)…can you expect to get apples? No of course not. You expect to get tomatoes. That´s how our subconscious mind works. It doesn´t care if you want the seeds you plant to grow. As long as you water and nurture them (affirm repeatedly), they will grow.

What are Weaving Looms? Presentation on weaving looms and Part and Principles of Weaving Looms

Here is a look to What are Weaving Looms? Presentation on weaving looms and Part and Principles of Weaving Looms For more videos please subscribe to my youtube channel textile magazine https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmY3AGwZhT4Tyij4cC0qR2w Visit our Website : http://www.libasifi.com/ Follow us on Facebook https://web.facebook.com/shakeelgraphics1/?ref=bookmarks A loom is a device that causes interlacement two sets of threads, namely, warp and weft threads, to form a fabric. The very first loom in history is the pit loom. Subsequently the handloom was developed and then the power loom. After the advent of power looms, a number of developments have taken place. The very first power looms that had been developed were of the non automatic type. These looms had neither a positive let off device nor warp stop mechanism or a weft changing mechanism. This demanded a great deal of attention from the weaver. The semi automatic loom was then developed which incorporated two out of the above three mentioned mechanisms. Then the automatic loom was developed which had all the three essential mechanisms, namely, positive let off device, warp stop mechanism and weft replenishment mechanism. The last century saw the development of shuttle less weaving mechanisms.
