Business Breakthroughs - Brand Promise

03:43
http://secretsofbusinessmastery.com - ServiceKey Mike Agugliaro, Business Ninja, brings to you a Business Breakthrough lesson on the power of a Brand Promise. Do you have one? Do you need one? Yes, you do! Brand Promise is the promise that your company is committing to the customers you are going serve. It's about what we do on every job; the little things over and above. It's going down to the steps and noticing the door knob is loose, and tightening it up. This is a little different than "wow" service. Brand Promise is the commitment that we want the customer to hold us accountable to. Did we do things that you never even expected us to? Remember this is not a one size fits all. Your Brand Promise needs to talk to your market. It is a separator for your business because if you want to compete, you need to do it different. What you need to do first is think of what your promise would be. Second, you have to look at everyone else in your area; what is their promise? Last, make sure the Brand Promise that you commit to aligns to you personally. To read my blog, visit http://secretsofbusinessmastery.com/blog.

What is BRAND ARCHITECTURE? What does BRAND ARCHITECTURE mean? BRAND ARCHITECTURE meaning

04:51
What is BRAND ARCHITECTURE? What does BRAND ARCHITECTURE mean? BRAND ARCHITECTURE meaning - BRAND ARCHITECTURE definition - BRAND ARCHITECTURE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Brand architecture is the structure of brands within an organizational entity. It is the way in which the brands within a company’s portfolio are related to, and differentiated from, one another. The architecture should define the different leagues of branding within the organization; how the corporate brand and sub-brands relate to and support each other; and how the sub-brands reflect or reinforce the core purpose of the corporate brand to which they belong. Often, decisions about brand architecture are concerned with how to manage a parent brand, and a family of sub-brands – managing brand architecture to maximize shareholder value can often include using brand valuation model techniques. Brand architecture may be defined as an integrated process of brand building through establishing brand relationships among branding options in the competitive environment. The brand architecture of an organization at any time is, in large measure, a legacy of past management decisions as well as the competitive realities it faces in the marketplace. There are three key levels of branding: Corporate brand, umbrella brand, and family brand – Examples include Virgin Group and Heinz. These are consumer-facing brands used across all the firm's activities, and this name is how they are known to all their stakeholders – consumers, employees, shareholders, partners, suppliers and other parties. These brands may also be used in conjunction with product descriptions or sub-brands: for example Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup, or Virgin Trains. Endorsed brands, and sub-brands – For example, Nestle KitKat, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Sony PlayStation or Polo by Ralph Lauren. These brands include a parent brand – which may be a corporate brand, an umbrella brand, or a family brand – as an endorsement to a sub-brand or an individual, product brand. The endorsement should add credibility to the endorsed sub-brand in the eyes of consumers. Individual product brand – For example, Procter & Gamble’s Pampers or Unilever's Dove. The individual brands are presented to consumers, and the parent company name is given little or no prominence. Other stakeholders, like shareholders or partners, will know the producer by its company name. Procter & Gamble is quoted by many authors as the antithesis of a corporate brand (Asberg and Uggla, Muzellec and Lambkin, Olins). "However, this situation changed in 2012. After more than 150 years of invisibility of the organization for consumer, the brand developed corporate brand promise during the 2012 Olympic games. Commercials are aired on television around a message thanking all the "moms". In addition, each of their products is associated with the brand "PG" in advertisements for products. A recent example of brand architecture in action is the reorganization of the General Motors brand portfolio to reflect its new strategy. Prior to bankruptcy, the company pursued a corporate-endorsed hybrid brand architecture structure, where GM underpinned every brand. The practice of putting the "GM Mark of Excellence" on every car, no matter what the brand, was discontinued in August, 2009. In the run-up to the IPO, the company adopted a multiple brand corporate invisible brand architecture structure. The company's familiar square blue "badge" has been removed from the Web site and advertising, in favor of a new, subtle all-text logo treatment. Structuring a company brand portfolio can involve choosing a strategy based upon a number of variables, including the business strategy, market trends, competitive tactics, and sources of growth and profit. Often marketing mix modeling is used to help understand the role of brands in a portfolio, and how they support or cannibalize one another. A strong parent brand can be leveraged across multiple sub-brands to help maximize Return on Marketing Investment. Managing brand architecture to maximize shareholder value can often include using brand valuation model techniques.

What is Branding? Lorraine Carter - Persona Branding and Design

I'm often asked to explain what a brand or branding is and its sometimes easier to say what it isn't first because so many people have varying ideas or views of what branding is. The things that come up most commonly is that people think a brand is a logo or website or letterhead or a piece of packaging, but those things aren't the brand, they are just the visual identifiers or badges associated with the product or service. A brand is the meaning we give to a product or service, how we feel about something in our hearts and minds. Its the story, the personality, the promise a brand makes to meet our expectations in certain ways, the collection of experiences we have every time we engage with a brand through the product, its services or people that work for it, that all collectively make up what a brand is. So if for example when I'm running one of my Mastermind Branding Workshops and I ask people to list or talk about brands they love and why they love them, some of the ones typically mentioned include Apple and McDonalds. Participants talk about Apple as 'cool, really great and easy to use, innovative, premium, love the genius bar, great interaction to meet customers needs, and they sometimes talk about it being secretive too. Or McDonalds - simple, easy, enjoyment, a quick treat for the family with menus, toys and activities that are kid friendly. If I draw an apple or the golden arches, they identify the brands straight away but the things that really get people talking are how those brands make them feel and the experiences they associate with the brands from when they've been using or experiencing them. Interestingly they don't talk about Apple in terms of technology or gigabytes or McDonalds in terms of just burgers and chips. So when you think about it its pretty amazing what those brands have achieved. They've got people all around the world feeling something similar about their brands, a collective shared sense of similar feelings and associations. They've given those brands a meaning (rationally and emotionally) that all their target audience identifies with and values. It all sounds very ambiguous but when you think about it brands live in people hearts and minds and branding is the activities engaged in by the brand owners to help people feel they way they do about those products or services all of which gives them a compelling reason to buy, repeatedly. So I apply that thinking in terms of well • what does your brand stand for? • what do you want to be seen as in the world? • what do you want to articulate to express your brand’s mission and purpose? • what do you want your style of interaction to be? • what's your positioning? and • how do you want people to feel about you? • what do you want people to tell other people about you? We then drill that down to creating your brand story, your brand values, your brand promise, mission, vision and purpose. These are the foundations, the heart of creating a brand, the key ingredients of what underlays and provides the direction and strategy for how your brand looks or sounds in terms of its name, logo, copywriting, website and customer experiences. It's only when you address those brand fundamentals that you can start look at design, aesthetics, logos and branding strategy to get your message out into the world. Without this you're attempting to market something that has no meaning and if it has no real meaning it's not going to attract your ideal audience or command a premium. Definition of branding in marketing management

05:19
http://www.successclub.info/blog/branding-the-marketing-practice-of-creating-a-name Definition of branding in marketing management An effective brand strategy gives you a major edge in increasingly competitive markets. But what exactly does "branding" mean? Simply put, your brand is your promise to your customer. It tells them what they can expect from your products and services, and it differentiates your offering from that of your competitors. Your brand is derived from who you are, who you want to be and who people perceive you to be. Are you the innovative maverick in your industry? Or the experienced, reliable one? Is your product the high-cost, high-quality option, or the low-cost, high-value option? You can't be both, and you can't be all things to all people. Who you are should be based to some extent on who your target customers want and need you to be. Define Branding Marketing- The foundation of your brand is your logo. Your website, packaging and promotional materials--all of which should integrate your logo--communicate your brand. Your brand strategy is how, what, where, when and to whom you plan on communicating and delivering on your brand messages. Where you advertise is part of your brand strategy. Your distribution channels are also part of your brand strategy. And what you communicate visually and verbally is part of your brand strategy, too. Consistent, strategic branding leads to a strong brand equity, which means the added value brought to your company's products or services that allows you to charge more for your brand than what identical, unbranded products command. The most obvious example of this is Coke vs. a generic soda. Because Coca-Cola has built a powerful brand equity, it can charge more for its product--and customers will pay that higher price. Define Branding Marketing - The added value intrinsic to brand equity frequently comes in the form of perceived quality or emotional attachment. For example, Nike associates its products with star athletes, hoping customers will transfer their emotional attachment from the athlete to the product. For Nike, it's not just the shoe's features that sell the shoe. Defining your brand is like a journey of business self-discovery. It can be difficult, time-consuming and uncomfortable. It requires, at the very least, that you answer the questions below: What is your company's mission? What are the benefits and features of your products or services? What do your customers and prospects already think of your company? What qualities do you want them to associate with your company? Do your research. Learn the needs, habits and desires of your current and prospective customers. And don't rely on what you think they think. Know what they think. Define Branding Marketing - Once you've defined your brand, how do you get the word out? Here are a few simple, time-tested tips: Get a great logo. Place it everywhere. Write down your brand messaging. What are the key messages you want to communicate about your brand? Every employee should be aware of your brand attributes. Integrate your brand. Branding extends to every aspect of your business--how you answer your phones, what you or your salespeople wear on sales calls, your e-mail signature, everything. Create a "voice" for your company that reflects your brand. This voice should be applied to all written communication and incorporated in the visual imagery of all materials, online and off. Is your brand friendly? Be conversational. Is it ritzy? Be more formal. You get the gist. Develop a tagline. Write a memorable, meaningful and concise statement that captures the essence of your brand. Design templates and create brand standards for your marketing materials. Use the same color scheme, logo placement, look and feel throughout. You don't need to be fancy, just consistent. Be true to your brand. Customers won't return to you--or refer you to someone else--if you don't deliver on your brand promise. Be consistent. This tip involves all the above and is the most important tip on this list. If you can't do this, your attempts at establishing a brand will fail. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVfLbo5ddxo&feature=youtu.be If you gained value from this post be sure to comment and retweet below!
