How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. What is Emotional Branding? Using the Power of Revenge Marketing

Emotional branding is used with positive emotions all the time. Marketing copywriters use emotional marketing to instil a warm, happy feeling in their viewers that endear their product to the customer all the time. But what of negative marketing, negative advertising, and negative branding? Emotional marketing is more than capable of getting nasty with some negative marketing -- in fact, it thrives on it. Emotional Branding and Negative Advertising No matter who you are, no matter where you are from, everyone knows at least one person who thinks he or she is better than anyone else. These blustering fools are always up on their high horse, looking down on the rest of us, isn't it time that someone knocked them down a few notches? The emotional marketing techniques for negative branding has just the recipe for this occasion -- revenge. Using revenge in your negative emotional branding is the perfect way to endear your brand to customers for hating what they hate -- that arrogant guy you hated back in High School. Emotional Marketing and Negative Branding The formula for this emotional branding is simple. First, the villains are introduced. Then, the Average-Joe hero is introduced. The hero then proceeds to not only dispatch of the villain, but does so in a humiliating fashion. It's not sufficient that the snobs be knocked off their high horses, they must also land in the mud. In this type of negative marketing, our hero is calm and in command, a master of his surroundings and those around him. Emotional Branding and Negative Marketing Normally the negative advertising technique delivered by revenge is done with a cliffhanger. The way the emotional marketing works is that the revenge spot sets up the expectation for the revenge. You know that it's coming, so you have to direct your full attention to the spot until it gives you the payoff. This way the audience will have to listen to the entire product pitch, or whatever the advertiser puts in, in order to get the payoff of sweet vengeance. The vengeance technique works particularly well for blue-collar customer bases. While some brands go out of their way to attract the most well-heeled customers, those that go for the masses stand to benefit greatly by resorting to this emotional marketing technique. The best thing about appealing to the "everyman" is that, well, every man and woman thinks he or she is an "everyman." So instead of going the positive rout with emotional branding, it sometimes pays off to just commiserate with your customers with some negative advertising. Instead of lifting them up, let them play the martyr for a bit, they'll love you for it. So to recap: • When you are using emotional marketing to with a brand, it doesn't always have to be positive. Instead, use some negative marketing to spice up your advertising • Everyone has someone they think needs to be taken down a few notches, so give it to them with negative branding • Introduce the villain, then the hero, establish the expectation, deliver your product pitch, and then let the hero handily dispatch of the villain, humiliating him in the process.

What’s the difference between a brand and a logo? What’s the difference between deliberate branding, and branding by default? Do you know? Well if you don’t, then you’re probably branding by default. That’s not good. ----- OK, so what exactly is a brand? Because it’s not your logo. Your logo is a graphical representation of your brand. It’s the main visual ambassador of your brand, and the entire basis of your visual brand image, or your corporate identity. Wow, that was a lot of big words, but what do they all mean? Well let’s see if we can’t make sense of all that. Let’s start with the word brand. Would it surprise you to learn that a brand is really nothing more than a thought? So in essence, it’s energy. A company’s brand IS what its best customer thinks of it. What its least happy customer thinks of it. What its prospects think of it. What its industry thinks of it. What its employees, partners, vendors, and contractors think of it. And perhaps most overlooked, what the entrepreneur behind the company thinks of it. When you combine all of those thoughts - all that energy - into one focused thought, or the average of all of those opinions, then you come up with the overall brand. And here lies the magic - the difference between branding your company deliberately, or by default. You, as the entrepreneur, have the mental image of the company in its best light - as you see it in reality, AND its full potential. Most of those other thoughts or opinions are based on the past. Someone’s experience with a company instills an image of the brand in their minds. It’s the past. It’s over. Good or bad, it’s done. But YOU see beyond the past and present. You see the future of your business. You see beyond what is and can visualize what can be. Nobody else is going to do that. When you allow your brand to be determined by other people’s opinions, that’s branding by default. But when you project your future image so others can see it, and feel it, and believe in it - that’s deliberate branding. Being able to not only have a vision of your company’s future - it’s potential, it’s promise - but being able to share it with all interested parties so that they can get their energy behind it too. That’s the power of branding. The logo then becomes the visual metaphor of that image. And when people in your world see that icon, they don’t just recognize a company - they remember the feeling behind that brand. It’s all energy. What do I desire in my life in all areas? Any area of your life that you want to design, you simply have to put attention towards it and you have to be able to be there authentically, right. So anything that you leave to chance is left the chance. But if you take an authentic look at your physical body, your relationships, your network, you financial environment. Your connection with nature, your connection with spirit and something higher than yourself. Your mission in life, who you are in all areas and how you want your life look in all areas. Now you're clear. Now you know what you want to do in life. Now you have a game plan. And what it might not always work out and pretty much will never work out, the way we think it will, "I'm going to this and I'm going to do this", that doesn't work. But by actually understanding yourself in this way, you show up in the world in a different way than everybody else. You show up in a way that is uniquely authentic and you're constantly in your power. Because you know what you want to do in life, and: "Well, this is what I want and I'm taking action to get there". So I know that right now, I'm living my absolute best life possible. I might have goals; sure, I have goals, right? I have tons of goals that I've not yet met. But that's not where the happiness is. It's not the things that we want. It's in the journey, which I know one of speakers was talking out yesterday. And when you're this clear about who you are and what you truly want, then you know you're on the journey. You know you're on the path, right? And so even when obstacles come up on the path and you got like this crappy breakup and like, "This guy said this thing about me" and like whatever, whatever. Those obstacles don't stop you dead in your tracks because you know you're on the path. I know who I am. I know what I want. I'm going to go for that no matter what, right? So then these obstacles, whatever, life is a series of ups and downs, that's cool. I'm going where I want to go. I'm doing what I... I know what I want to do in life. I'm doing what I meant to do. I'm on the stage right now because I meant to be doing this. Because this is my passion, because this is who I am, this is what I want to do in the world. And so, even things like, "I don't know if I can book it, the plane, I got to do this", right? All the obstacles to get here, whatever, I know where I'm going, right? But when you're over here and I don't know myself then obstacles come up and you go, "Oh yeah, that doesn't really look like, that's hard" you know, "And oh, this is... that's hard too".
