This Phone was released in September 2016 and follows up from the popular Xperia "Z" lineup such as the Xperia Z1, Z2, Z3 and Z5. It is a "Compact" (Smaller) version of the Xperia X (F5121). The design of the Xperia X Compact is most similar to the Xperia XZ and XZ Premium. The Body of the phone is made from glossy plastic so make sure you use a case if you want to avoid scratching the device.
At IFA 2017 in Berlin Sony announced the Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact. They will both feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU just like the Xperia XZ Premium, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8 and OnePlus 5. As well as 4GB of RAM, IP68 Water and Dust resistance and a 19MP 960FPS Super Slow-Mo Camera just like the XZ Premium and XZs. Pricing and Availability is yet to be officially announced.
If you're interested in the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact but you are dissuaded by the price point than the Xperia X Compact (F5321) is a fantastic budget friendly alternative. It packs a lof the same features in the same form factor but for less.
The Xperia X Compact (F5321) has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of Storage, MicroSD Card Support up to 256GB, 720P 4.6" inch IPS LCD and a 23MP F2.0 Rear Camera. It can shoot video in 1080p 30FPS and 60FPS. It is available in Universe Black (as featured), White and Mist Blue Colours.
The Xperia X Compact also features Qnovo Adaptive Charging Technology, BatteryCare and a Fingerprint reader, all models have access to these features except those from the United States (US). All markets can use Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Fast Charging with the Xperia X Compact.
The mid range processor in the Xperia X Compact allows it to easily achieve around 2 days of battery life as well as between 9-10 hours of Screen on Time. It also uses a USB Type-C Port for Charging instead of Micro-B.
