The funny thing is I just read a blog where they say you shouldn't put your desk on a window because it decreases productivity. They said you should have your desk so the window is at your right or left. Can't find the blog again.
Thanks for the basic design advice, some nice ideas here..... Some advice for your Diet Coke habit.....actually artificial sweetener is worse than natural sugar, it is a chemical... your body metabolizes fake sugar and real sugar as sugar... it is technically true that it doesn't add calories... however instead of gaining burnable functional calories, fake sugar just sits in your system as sugar with no way to functionally burn it... which basically then turns to fat...( Sugar Crash) need caffeine? have tea, or coffee ( skip the shots of mocha/caramel/crap).... or have an apple... 1 apple has the same energy as a cup of coffee...and it has the fiber to help you burn the natural sugar calories... Check out Ketosis or Keto Diet- I dont recommend going full Keto but it will help you understand the myths about sugar 'diet' drinks.... good luck getting over your Diet Coke Addiction:)
I have a business office and move into it in a few days. It was a mess when I took a tour so I've been watching videos and Pinterest of ideas as to how to glam up the office and keep it professional. The office has no windows 😫. I need to find a way and ideas to open it up and feel brighter.
I love your huge clock screensaver on your mac. How do u set it up ? I have a macbook air.
Mine is home office, i am lucky to have a room with pool facing windows, but it is cramped cos we have tables ( hubby and i ) ...any ideas for home office with 2 tables ?
Could you please do a “how to pick the right curtains” video explaining picking out curtain rods and curtains that best suit the room, also single or double rod? And what to do when you are renting and the apartment already has shutters? Including on a door to the patio? That one is particularly tricky because im not sure what to put on the door if i take the shutters off...thank you u r the best! Luv u
Sharrah would you make a video about desk chairs? It's hard to find desk chairs who fit decor. They are mostly black and ugly. There aren't many desk chair diy videos either. Thanks for your content. Have a great day✌.
Your brain is tricked by the aspartame, and your body reacts to diet soda the same way it would if it was regular sugary soda! Diet is bad for you, too my lovely! Drink lots of water! It helps you keep thinking clearly! <3
I have a office corner in my living room I’m a stay at home 🏡 mom and full-time student.
Diet Coke causes a similar crash to sugar as that’s how they train your brain to have more! The fake sugar supplements are known to be bad for digesting and breaking them down. I used drink regular coke but then I read about how sugar and sugar supplements break down and I have been off pop for going on 3 years!
I have a home office with one window. I also have to have the inspirational quotes up on my wall above my desk that I put on clip boards that I painted gold and turquoise. I too have little lights pinned up on one of my shelves that are battery operated. I also made my own light with an Edison bulb and a plant hanger to hang over my desk so I can see what I am doing at night.
Desk at home is where I work. I struggle especially if there’s something I want to work on (which is always) in the apt. I’m known to choose laundry and closet organization projects over work, and then I end up doing all my 9-5 work at night, 5-midnight or so.
Yes you can crash on aspartame (a carcinogen). Aspartame and other sugar imitators like fructose and Sucralose (basically anything ending in -ose) still stimulate insulin to spike just like sugar does. Hence, despite the “diet,” it doesn’t actually aid weight loss in any way.
I have a floating desk just in the middle of my floor in my tiny studio apartment because there's isn't any more room against the walls.
My whole apartment is the size of my parent's living room and kitchen combined
Pleeeaassse do a video on modern glam but not glam like Chanel or crystals. More just like textures with modern furniture. I love the bright couches and fur rugs and gold accents but I have no clue how to do it on a budget or without it looking hodge podge! I’m obsessed with your channel. I’m so glad I found you!!!
That intro was too long. You plugged way too many things all at once for too long. Keep it short and sweet I lost interest and didn’t watch the rest of the video and I’m not interested in watching any others.
Love this! I'm moving into a new space at the end of the month and my fiance and I will be sharing a office space. We're lucky to have TONS of windows in there, but we've gotta figure out a way to make it work for the both of us. :)
I love your top in this video! Where is it from? I have my own office that I moved into in January. Always looking to improve the vide. I love having lots of plants around, I put some hanging ones in the window right beside my desk!
I have a home office, but I don't have a job per say. I am a mom of three, so it is where my computer lives, where I craft and where I keep all of our family/school business (my job!) One little tid bit that I like to share is that outside of my office window, I have made a bird sanctuary with lots of different feeders. It gives me a reason to look away from my monitor, focus my eyes farther away than about two feet and it brings me joy.
I don’t understand why you always ask people to comment and subscribe when you RARELY, if EVER, respond to any of the comments from your subscribers. Now you’re asking us to sign up for a new paid program saying that’s where we can ask questions. I’m all for making as much money as possible, but something is off with your business model.
I work in a cubicle..no windows..and the color is not very pleasing. Do you know of any wallpaper or fabric I can cover my cube in that would feel more calming? Maybe something to place over gray steel file cabinets?
I just realized that I watched and am Subscribed to your mom at Robeson Design. That's why I feel like I've seen you from some where. I'm merging my desk and office with my husband's work space at home but our stuff is everywhere so your tips will be so helpful :)
I couldn’t stop yawning seeing you so tired. I’m not sure I understood your tips for my home office. 😞😴😴 I got a few of them towards the end. Aspartame is basically poison in my opinion. Love your vids and I share the ones that apply to us with my wife. She owns the TV remote, I’m the computer geek who watches YouTube. I’m also the neat freak. 🤣
I finally have a freshly painted home office (I work from home) and it is a blush pink color, so doing the whites and golds. I currently get to sit by the window and have the desk in a spot where I can see outside and out the door (feng shui supposedly) I love the hanging lights idea and the pictures. Great tips - thank you!! And, also utilized your video before where you put the marble paper on your desk top - I have that on my desk too after watching you do that and I love it...so this is 2 office videos that have been helpful!! Thank you!
My workspace at home is a desk by a window, and even though I don't like to keep a lot on the desk top itself I have things inspired by nature and animals on the desk and my walls. I have a bookcase next to my desk and on top of that I have some plants because they love the window!
I love your videos and your style. I've been following you for over two years and this is my first comment... My style is much like yours... Mid Century Modern with a dash of ecclectic. I am a freelance Visual Communicator and work from home. I'm actually watching this from my home office which adheres to this video! :)
Risking the chance of sounding ridiculous... Are you pregnant? You have such a wonderful glow!! I say you're having a boy! I bet it's gonna be a boy! Even if I am wrong... Congrats to you and your hubby! <3
Great video.....heres a way to get a ton of views, believe me I have tried and there is no good tutorials on line and it has proved difficult for me :( HOW TO LOAD THE 1970's CLOCK ON YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN TUTORIAL , I put it in caps hoping you'd read, and I pray do! That would be awesome. Love your channel.
Great tips! I work in an office cube at work, so I have family photos and little DIY'd faux flower arrangements on my desk. And I use unique objects for office supplies. Like I have my pens, etc. inside of a cute coffee cup my daughter brought me from Paris and a Valentine's mug from my hubby. TFS
I’m not judging you at all or telling you what to do with your Body but I just wanted to tell you how Aspartame is really bad for you hun. There’s a few documentary you can watch on it. It causes cancer, depression, birth defects etc.
So happy to see this post I just started decorating my desk/cubicle at work and I don’t know what to do with a blank space I have behind me 🤔 so I can’t wait to watch this video lol it’s currently on 1:29 😻
OMG, these HUGE clock numbers on the screen really freak me out! I literally JUMPED when it changed from 12:59 to 1:00 :))))) Gotta have sturdy nerves to have a screensaver like this :) I would be needing a therapist after a couple of hours :))))
Special Alert: Now Available In Your Area!
Hi, my name is Ross Williams . Let me share a personal story with you. Back in 2007, I held an excellent position at a large IT company with a nice monthly salary. By 2008, the great recession hit. The company ran into financial problems and was forced to lay off over 50% of its staff. Unfortunately for me, I was included.
So there I was stranded, unemployed, with all the bills to pay and a family to support. Where I lived, such jobs werent easy to come by. So I decided to do a little research. I spent many sleepless nights on the web just searching for something to do, anything that could help support me and my family. I just wanted a way to make money, and not lose it, as I soon found to be the case with numerous internet scams.
Just like you, I often stumbled upon all types of web sites offering me some money matrix scheme, promising me all the money in the world. Yeah, right! From stuffing envelopes, Multi Level Marketing, High Yield Investment Programs, to selling all types of useless products. You name it, Ive been there, done that.
Finally, I came across something that worked.
Online advertising has skyrocketed over the past few years. In 2015, companies spent close to $50 billion advertising online. That figure is expected to increase substantially in 2016. What does this mean for you? A lot more money could be going into your bank account this year. Thats IF you take advantage of this secret system.
Companies worldwide are desperately searching for people just like you to type up their ads and post them online, and theyll pay you nicely in return. Its a win-win situation. They get more customers, you get paid. Its as simple as that. These companies have cash, LOTS of it and theyre eager to share it with you. All types of individuals around the world are using this system to make more money than they ever could working in a boring, dead-end job. You can work part-time or full-time, its all up to you.
