If you honestly look into the "proof" of Jesus you will find there is none. Check into the manipulations of the Flavian dynasty of Rome you will find that it is all a contrived story. There was no Jesus. It is all a lie.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-mithraic-mysteries/ they were celebrating the, fantastic for the time, discovery of the precession of the equinoxes. To them this was like the unhinging of the heavens and they represented it by the tauroctony — the slaying of the bull, the outboing constellation Taurus, by the incoming constellation Mithras.

I am impressed with these videos! Thanks for making them! Another video claimed that Jesus and Christianity were based on the Cult of Mithras so of course I went to Wikipedia and saw very little resemblance though some cultural practices could overlap. Learning more about belief systems helps sort out truths which have been obscured by organised religions. Before there was Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, etc., what did people believe, what did it mean to them, what purpose did it serve? Considering the bull image in Mithraism, Knossos had the cult of the bull and Spanish cultures today still have bull fighting. Ancient cattle, aurochs, were nasty characters more comparable to Africa's Cape buffalo that modern cows. The African buffalo is considered by many to be the most dangerous animal there.

In Vedas, Mithra is the Sun God. Varuna is the God of Water. In our Morning Offering , Mithra is mentioned several times. My Gothra Rishi is MaithraaVaruna apart from, Vasishts and Koundinya. As Mithra is another name for Sun, He can be surrounded by the 12 Zodiac signs.

As a law student myself, i just want to say, that sometimes things just happen but is considered unbelieved or inadmissible because of lack of evidence. Evidence is such an important aspect like mathematics and physics are, evidence is what convinces man to find the truth about certain things. Wish we had a time machine to go back in time to see these things for ourselves man..

We don't know but we can s p e c u l a t e Slaying a bull could mean he qas putting to death the sign of the bull which is Taurus and maybe because of this Mithras can be seen as an usher into the next age? Jesus kind of does the same thing, he tells them after he leaves they can go to the house of the man with the water pitchers... something like that which is nothing but astrotheology. Fun stuff!

I have just found your channel tonight and I'm impressed. I'm simply impressed with the commonsense, logical view that you seem to represent. It's very refreshing that you do not speak of absolutes except when referencing what evidence we have or have not found. It's extremely distasteful to me when scholars represent findings as hard, cold fact when findings are most accurately represented as the evidence that we have found so far. History repeatedly shows us that some years and sufficient interest and exploration may overturn our most staunch dogmas (i.e. I have not watched your Gobekli Tepe video as of yet and your views may contend with Dr. Klaus Schmidt's interpretation; however, for decades/perhaps centuries, scholarly dogma has proclaimed with the utmost confidence that "religion" was a later "invention" of man after farming and cities. The Gobekli Tepe preliminary findings seem to refute that interpretation). I applaud you for your transparency and wish continued scholarly integrity for your future.

Hi, having visited the Catacomb of Priscilla in Rome, I was taken aback by the imagery within the underground tomb. Imo some was linked to Mithras i.e. images of the bull, the ritual meal and the number 7 written all over the walls, of what looked like a ritual room (depicting a feast). This catacomb is owned by the Vatican. We were so happy to have a private tour from a young priest who insisted on no photography. Once it became apparent that some of the imagery was not Christian, I asked is it possible the tomb was taken over by Christianity from abandoned Mithraism and swiftly our tour ended. 😬 you see I think behaviour like that perpetuates the myth. I believe this tomb had dual purpose or was used after M went out of use. Then again, what do I know - my research is in EBA funerary rituals in the UK, so apologies if I sound a bit clueless. The Cult of Mithras has always fascinated me however.

Ok folks... Catholics and even the Vatican, who do not try to hide it, know that Jesus was NOT actually born on Dec.25th. The Church just said we will celebrate it on that date to symbolically take it away from the Pagans. Same with Easter and even Halloween. Attempt by the Vatican to nullify what they saw as evil Pagan holidays. I cannot believe how many people mistake this.

First of all, scientifically there is no evidence for the existence of Jesus, there is no mythology of the Jesus, only the stories that has been told and become the books of the fantasy that are called bibles, it is more interesting that we have 4000 thousand bibles totally with the different stories that 3976 are blocked at the Vatican and we can reach only 4 famous bibles, how can you compare a great and ancient cult with billions of evidence that have remained for centuries with a history of the Jesus? thanks to cult Mitra that Christianity has taken evaluation to continue to manipulating people.

Why do you try so hard to deny there was a relationship between Persian Mithraism and European Mithraism while as you said one of the high ranks of the European Mithraism was to be "Persian" ? And you aslo admit that it became unpopular in Rome since Romans were fighting Persians? So what's the deal? It's like you are in deep denial.

This was a very informative video. For anyone interested in Mithraism as a Roman soldiers' cult, the treatment in Mary Stewart's great Arthurian/Merlin trilogy is beautifully and tactfully done. The novels are true classics in their own right, and will more than repay any one interested in Roman Britain or in King Arthur.

It still seems that the cult of night as preceded Christianity. Motifs were similar as they transpired through time. The fact that the church (Petra, the rock or Peter) of Christianity was built over its predessor from the cult of mithra, also getting its origins from Mitra in the persian histories. The church fathers and apologists like to deny all the previous similarities of the 12 zodiac signs, sun worship (mitra the sun), the virgin sun and birth in winter solstace, the magi, etc. You seem to slant this a bit to keep Christians happy without stating some of the obvious. The more I hear the more I see Christianity as a garde copy cat and solely designed for men as was the Roman version of mithras. Nothing regarding the feminine aspect of life - just another good ol boys club, like the military that teaches the young men to downgrade...er, degrade and brainwash....their view of women.

Well, this video clearly demonstrates the narrator's leanings. Every refuting text or video I see about Jesus's mythical origins comes from a very religious source. And while it's obvious why they want to tear down every possible similarity as quickly as possible, there's no denying the overall patterns of historical religious texts & carvings. The biblical character definitely wasn't the first to fulfill most of his most notable qualities, like being born from a virgin or crucified or resurrected. These ideas were repeated by at least a few previous 'saviors'. To use a cliché, "you can't see the forest for the trees."

Cult is probably right. Religion is a stretch. This Mithra was a "brotherhood" of "mates" who used some secret symbols, to teach their governing principles, much like Freemasons do today. I don't think God and Religion had anything to do with this cult.

You don't need to go dive that further about the existence of Jesus. Yes he was exist, Historian is agreed with this, period. I think all religion is a cult no matter how you look at it. They have a leader and their following is devoted and follow blindly into the night. It just takes an unejucted part of the world to be interested in it and through need, they fall prey to it's grasp. With so many followers after, those who appose it get burnt at the stake, beheaded in public or tortured into submission. Religion, the very thing a Messiah went after and exposed for what they were not teaching, true spirituality. He is the seed that was planted within us all , to grow and heal from within outward and to manifest the glory and the kingdom of heaven.
Mark Garduno (1 month ago)
+Saint Dragon throughout the history of religion, it is evident that obligation or submission is the name of the game. There only a few that escape the stereo types of such forced practice but ,all in all the rest fall right into picture.

There are some problems with your arguments. In the first place you say that while the roman mithras was originatated from persian mithra there is no continuity and then when you want to compare mithras with jesus you claim that we dont know anything about mithras and anyone who has said anything doesn't have any resource. If you dont shut you eyes in the first part of the argument and look at the persian and indo-iranian resources you will see the similarities and its not just the chrismass time, many other items such easter and even current persian traditions around chrismass and easter that are transfered to christianity. So as you said at the end of the video romans had adopted mithraism from persians and then because they needed a unting non-persian religion to oppose persians when they heard about this new branch of judaism promoted by paul and peter, they mixed the two and invented christianity as we know it.
Lakoy Ricke (1 month ago)
+Saint Dragon i just explained way the video is wrong. Please read my comment. In regards to birging birth as i said in my comment they are not the same but their similarity is birth in extraoridinary way. The persian mythra is not a god, ahura mazda is the god, and zorosterians only had one god. But mythra was a respected holy figure or spirit who is not god but created by god and born in let say extraordinary ways. Historically speaking mythra actually predates zoroasterianism. So when zoroasterianism overtook mythraism in 400 bc, it absorbed some elements of mythraism in it. And the same thing has happened in roman empire when the created christianity.

"the video you posted is absolutly wrong" how? "Ive heard both stories of virgin birth" he (Mithra) was born out of a rock and don't say that rock a virgin "it is the same as jesus in being born in mysterical ways." how? and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence
Lakoy Ricke (1 month ago)
+Saint Dragon the video you posted is absolutly wrong because the only similarity that he approves is holy sunday while in old persian they did not have week, or sundays. They only had months. You should understand that persian mythology was based on nature. So chrismass is birthday of jesus/mythra/sun. Because shortest day of the year is at that time and days get longer after that. Easter is the begining of spring or resurrection of nature. And considering that persians had month and 12 zodiac signs refer to positions of sun in the sky. Then the 12 opstles being the zodiac signs make sense. Ive heard both stories of virgin birth or birth from rock for mythra but whatever it is, it is the same as jesus in being born in mysterical ways.

As an atheist I always wanted this supposed parallel to be true....sadly it is not. That said would yet another evidence against christianity like Christ-Mithras really have made a difference to our Christian-believing friends? Probably not.
belaireguy411 (1 month ago)
Of course you are correct although none of it makes me sad, an objective reading of the Bible removes itself from being some sort of truth. There is no evidence of any God or Goddess, so parallel myths don't mean much. You would be interested to know that when I was a Christian, demons would enter my dreams, I was very afraid but the name of Jesus did not help. I just had to wake up. Then I became an atheist for a number of reasons, these demons came back, but why would they as Christians would say, they are now my friends. That wasn't the case as they still came and were scary, so I confronted them only slightly the first time. The second time my fear was dissipating and stood up to them face to face, the third time, I asked them what they want. The last time, I asked them if I could help them, they have never been back because I rid them from my imaginary mind. Just last morning say around 2 AM, I awoke and decided to call them out, basically anything supernatural, a God, demon, an alien, to come lay next to me in my bed to have a chat. To manifest themselves as proof of the supernatural, I said "right here" as I patted the other side of the bed, begged any of them to reveal themselves for at least 15 minutes. Nothing but crickets, then when I fell asleep, it was the most peaceful ever. What do you think ace, your thoughts please. Certainly hope you and yours are well.
Like Egypt they were destroyed by the cat cult (Cat-holics) via the french.
Fact 1. It was based around ritual meals. We know for a fact that they ate Cannabis seeds and rewarded good performance on the battlefield with the "royal grain". These soldiers and politicians outived the general population x3. You can't know about the seeds and not know about the buds. The anointing, the blood, the eating and smoking will lead you to a powerful spiritual experience that you best have a guide for. They did a concoction of Cannabis, mushrooms and amphetamines. Your third eye will be wide open! That's what the cult was about. You can more correctly call it the cult of Horus. It was about the bird language and universal knowledge.

December 25 was winter solstice for pagans. So Roman Empire used this date. Yule, Koleda, Saturnalia and invictus Solis important. Who started the claim that Jesus was born of a Virgin? I think it is Strange. Maybe a Virgin Birth was from the Gods? Kaiser Konstantin tried to unite the Roman Empire with Christianity.

Why try to deny the Persian root of Mithra (Mitra)??? After all, everything worthwhile in the West has its roots in the East, be it religion, arts, science, writing, hundreds of inventions (including the father of all inventions, the wheel), roads, government, irrigation canals, postal service... Stop your Iranophobia. Perhaps you should have done a more thorough study and research on the subject. The religion was inspired by Iranian worship of the god Mithra, though the Greek Mithras was linked to a new and distinctive imagery. The Romans regarded the mysteries as having Persian or Zoroastrian sources.

Mithras is Satan (He has many names. He is the sun god). Freemasons believe in Lucifer as the light bearer. The Statue of Liberty (which was sponsored by the Freemasons) is a symbol for the light bearer. She wears the crown of Mithras. Also in Washington, London and Rome there are tall obeliscs. They stand for sun worship. I am no conspiracy theorist but it's obvious who rules the world and what their beliefs are. Most of them pretend to be Christian but that's a lie. The Bible doesn't say anywhere that Jesus was born on December 25th. That's the birth of the sun god. The Bible doesn't want us to celebrate Christmas either. Please look it up.

it is strange there are no writings about this cult by practitioners. did constantine or the roman catholic church search out and destroy all writings? constantine was known to be an admirer of sol invictus. mithras was associated with sun, also. the sun was reborn dec 25th when it began moving north again. constantine was a busy man who could be forgiven if he confused the christian cult with sol invictus and mithras, he gave honor to sol invictus by carving his image on the arco di costantino but christians say he saw the chi rho in a vision. strange that jesus was not mentioned on the greatest monument to that historic victory. something stinks here, constantine in a vision saw the greek letters and, i think, associated "christ" with the "christ of sol invictus" ...the christos helios mosaic of sol in mausoleum m on the ceiling of the tomb of julii under saint peter's in rome speaks to this point

Aspects attributed to the Christ were pinched from figures as Horus from Egyptian mythology and Krishna from the Hindu pantheon- and probably many others from distant millennia.

"Christ were pinched from figures as Horus from Egyptian mythology" no evidence for that "and Krishna from the Hindu pantheon-" no evidence for that "and probably many others from distant millennia."' again no evidence for that

Sounds like Free Masonry.
Maybe we should look at their times from immemorial foundations. Mitras is slaying a bull and is a solar idol. Perhaps this has to do with the time of the Sun passing by, and slaying Taurus, a few some thousands of years ago, coinciding with the time scale. As for the lack of context from the Roman times, its probably my nonsense opinion. That the Cult concil of Nicea just wanted to remove competing story lines from their Gzeuss. The Jesus Christ of later days was made later in the 15c AD with Ceasar Borgia. That missing context is a red flag.

Could the slaying of the bull allude to entering the Age of the Ram? If so, then Mithras may have it's origins beginning during that time period, i.e., the transitional period between the Age of the Bull and the Age of the Ram.
Jesus was not born in December he was born in the spring

Why do you call it a "cult" and not a mystery school or a religion?

I have another video explaining this: “what’s the difference between a cult and a religion.” Short answer, the word has a different meaning in antiquity and when used by ancient historians. Generally means “worship” or “group that worships...”
